I so love this! The First Homely House - too cute! I do like Frodo and Celebrisn sitting next to each other - I like to think she played a part in his healing as her wounds were similar. I never thought of a connection between Ulmo and Goldberry but I do like to think she is a Maia and it he connection mskes perfect sense. Love there the only repayment is that Frodo and Bilbo heal and be happy again - a gift just as much to themselves as to the Elves - and to us. *hugs all* Namarie, God bless, Antane. :) Author Reply: I'm glad you enjoyed it. Originally I was going to have Eagles bring the news, but how would they know anything about hobbits. Then I thought of Ulmo, and that made me think of Goldberry. In my stories of the West, Frodo and Celebrian are good friends, and often walk together on the beach.

Goldberry! That is a perfect source of information! I forget about her being a river daughter and of course she would have communication with Ulmo. I absolutely love it when little details like that from Tolkien are woven into stories. And of course I love the hobbits being made at home in Elvenhome. Thank you very much for this gift (and I adore the other one too!) Author Reply: I toyed with it being the Eagles who brought the information, but really, they would have known very little. Goldberry (and her Tom) have been near neighbors (and good friends) with hobbits for a very long time! (And in my universe, have had a post-Quest visit from the four Travellers as well.) I just know that every effort would have been made to make their stay the best possible; and of course, Celebrian would have been informed that Bilbo had been one of Elrond's dear friends for years. She would have done anything possible to see that they would feel at home under his roof! I am SO glad you enjoyed the story! And I do hope you will enjoy your other present--I actually wanted to make it for you anyway, after your beautiful comment the other day, so your birthday was the perfect excuse to expedite the project!

What a wonderful welcome for Bilbo and Frodo. You know, after seeing the movies, I truly envied anyone living in a place like Bag End. I was just so cozy and appealing. I don't usually like clutter, but even the clutter there made me want to handle it and have it around. Lovely story for Nilmandra. And the Hobbit door is amazing! My mail hasn't come yet today, but I'll let you know when it does. What's it made of? Author Reply: I love hobbit homes as much as I do the hobbits! It's made of polymer clay. You can do amazing things with polymer clay! (PS: Saw your email; glad it arrived safely!)

A touch of the Shire, built in the West, to make a home for Bilbo and Frodo. How welcoming! And Elrond and Celebrian holding hands like teenagers. So many reunions. The hobbits will be happy here. Author Reply: Yes, Celebrian and others truly want the hobbits to feel at home. I am certain that after their long separation, the two would not want to be apart long. I am sure they will be!

The First Homely House East of the Sea, what a lovely idea! This is a wonderful greeting and new home for the hobbits. You can imagine how happy this makes me. :) Author Reply: I'm so glad! I had a general idea of how it looks from writing "Ancestress" but I got more and more ideas as I wrote this one! I toyed with a name in either Quenya or Sindarin, but knew I might not have time to find a translator. Then I remembered the *other* name for Rivendell/Imladris!

An expected gift indeed, that was nice and thoughtful of him. I wonder what he would do for Frodo if he could? Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

I rejoice that D.L. Sauron (and that signature makes me giggle each time I see it!) thought to send this to Bilbo. How appropriate! And so proper to the season as well! Author Reply: It makes me giggle too! Of course, that was his response to being called "Mr. Sauron", LOL! I was surprised to discover a couple of days ago I'd never posted this one here!

Thanks a lot, now you've gone and made me cry when I'm supposed to be doing homework. But, seriously, that was beautiful. A little Niggle makes everything better. Author Reply: Thank you, dear! "Not all tears are an evil."

An interesting tale and I am glad is going to wait for his dear ones and be surrounded by others so dear while he does so. I love Leaf by Niggle. And I noticed the nod to Narnia too. Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: Yes, certainly a little nod to Narnia as well. It just made sense to me that Bilbo would wait. He never really Adventured alone; he knows the value of sharing.

Again, such a wonderful mixture of TH, LOTR, and Leaf by Niggle! So right for our Bilbo as he seeks to find the Heart of the Mountains! Author Reply: Thank you so much, dear, for commenting here as well! I had not thought of that last bit of symbolism--but it too, fits!
