| I have been reading this fanfic since the beginning, and it just gets better. Keep up the good work! I am also a writer, and I think it's inspiring as well as fun to read fellow writer's works and to see their thought process put down on paper (or computer for that matter!) Anyway, I think this story is great and has at times nearly moved me to tears! Once again, great job! ^_^ Author Reply: Thank you so much for this glowing review. Actually my writing process involves both paper and the computer. I start off by writing everything in a spiral bound notebook. Then I type it all up on my computer generally making massive changes. I save my notebooks and many of the early computer drafts so that I can see how far I have com in developing this. It is so very cool that we have fan fiction sites to post what we have been working on and read what other people are doing. I have read some really neat stories from emerging writers and seasoned writers as well. I only wish I had time to read more than I do. I do not consider myself to be a writer. I draw and paint. However last April I was talking to my freind Pearl Took, about this idea I had for an alternative ending for Frodo. Pearl is a fabulous writer, it come to her so much more naturally than it comes to me. I highly recomend you read her work. Anyhoo, Pearl liked my idea and encouraged me to actually write it. | This was a powerful chapter. I like Esmeralda. :) Oh, good, the Ring is destroyed. Now Frodo can come home! Ah, I suppose updates will not be as frequent during the Holidays? | My apologies for having not reviewed, I haven't been able to come here for a while. This is an excellent chapter, and I love how she has reconnected with...the elf whose name escapes me. Her lonlieness only adds to the joy that will come when she meets Frodo. Please update soon! Author Reply: It is good to see you again! With the holidays upon us I am figuring things will be quieter here for a bit. I am always happy when anyone has the time to stop on for a visit. I am so glad you like the chapter. | Hmm, this is very interesting. I like that you have given Linwe more of a history, and I think that the connection between her and Frodo is intrigueing. I don't normally like Frodo romances, because I DO NOT approve of slash, and the OC's aren't usually well developed enough, but I'm enjoying this one so far. Keep up the good work - I especially look forward to when they realize what is happening. Author Reply: Thank you for the review who ever you are. You are not the first person to express appreaciation for my developement of Linwe. I have spent a lot of time getting to know her, talking about her with my writing mentor, I have written pages about her in my journals. I think some readers have been put off by my starting off the story with having the focus so strongly on Linwe, but it had to be that way. | THAT is so incredible! I love how she feels what Frodo feels, and even has physical signs. (the bruise) I can't imagine what will happen when Frodo reaches Mordor... Yes, the Tooks most certainly have had odd going-ons in their bloodline. Oh, do update soon! (Although I believe that you update on...Mondays, is it?) Author Reply: Yes, I do try to post new chapters every monday. In hact I need to scooch along and be sure Chapter eight is at least partially presentable though it has not been through my editor yet. I felt that the best canidate to offer Frodo a chance at romantic love would have to be a lass who could on some level relate to what he has been through. Personal beliefs and expeariences of my own led me to the idea of their having these shared expeariences. I have had this story kicking around in my head for over a year. I went through many different scenarios on how this could play out before I settled on this one that I feel is the most believable. | Oh no! They just missed the hobbits...I guess that we will have to go through more anxious agony until they *FIANLLY* meet. That's very interesting that she dreams about "shoadowy figures." She's (most likely, right?) dreaming of Frodo. I can't wait to know if he dreams about her! I really love the way that you are handling this story so far. It's not another of the usual Frodo/maiden type stories. It's better, well thought out, and has a believable character. Please update soon! Author Reply: ENJOY THE AGONY!!! heehee As a matter of fact I have given this story lots of thought. I have no wish to deminish Frodo's sacrifice in anyway. It is a balancing act, maintain the magnitude of his sacrifice while still allowing for the possibility of love. I feel that it would take a ver speacial Hobbit Lass to achieve that balance so I have given lots of thought to who that lass is and what makes her special. Linwe is not me, she is nicer than I am. I have spent a lot of time getting to know her and I love her as much as I love Frodo. There are a lot of romance stories out there written for Frodo I am honored that you think so highly of mine, and that you were able to percieve the thought I have put into it. MysteriousWays | |
