Water, Water, Everywhere ...  by Jay of Lasgalen 30 Review(s)

Alas for Elladan and his seasickness! Have been there and DONE that! Heh! Leaves no one for Elrohir to share his delight with, unfortunately.

Author Reply: Yes, this spoils Elrohir's enthusiasm I'm afraid. Poor Elladan!

Oops! Have we been building dams again?

Author Reply: No, despite the previous drabble, this incident happened long before :>)

And we all know how small children love to build dams! Heh! NOT what Erestor had expected to find, I'm certain.

Author Reply: Small children *and* grown elves! Elladan and Elrohir are rediscovering their lighter side.

Well, he said to pull, and Estel did! Heh! Love the Bath Song reference in the title of course.

Author Reply: Poor Estel - he was just trying to help.

The title seemed appropriate :>)

And some children are so literal-minded! At least Estel was not disappointed! Heh! Home the kitten becomes a constant companion.

Author Reply: Estel wasn't disappointed, but I think Elrohir was rather surprised!

Ah--fun to see these here, too. Yes, children will repeat the most awful things they've heard at the most inopportune times! Heh! Poor Celebrian, to hear such things from her beloved babes, who are already being corrupted by an indiscrete reborn Elf! Heh!

Author Reply: Elrond and Celebrķan probably won't be that shocked - they know Glorfindel too well!

...based on a true-life incident, perhaps?

Rings true.

Thanks!

Author Reply: No, actually; but I could picture it so clearly!

LindeleaReviewed Chapter: 2 on 3/28/2011
Awwwww.

Will never again think of that particular phrase in quite the same way.

Author Reply: Elrohir should remember that children can take things very literally, as he was just as bad himself!

LOL! Do you know how hard it is not to *snork* and waken the child sleeping on the couch nearby...?

I need to head to bed myself, but thanks for the nightcap.

Author Reply: LOL! I hope you didn't wake anyone :)

LindeleaReviewed Chapter: 5 on 3/28/2011
*snicker*

Just how did he know whose names to call...? And why do I think that the possessors of those particular names just happen to be within hearing (and perhaps seeing, as they would not want to miss the expression on his face, would they)?

Surely it's not an innocent mistake.

Author Reply: They didn't actually intend this - but Erestor just assumes that if anything happens, the twins are usually to blame somehow!
