| No wonder Cirdan gave Narya to Gandalf, rather than Saruman, when the Istari arrived in M-E; Cirdan had heard enough seductive purring from Annatar. Never trust a fellow wearing lavender perfume - at least I wouldn't! Good for Cirdan. An interesting and funny vignette; I did an Annatar-meets-Elrond ficlet awhile back and I love how you've characterized the Lord of Gifts here. Author Reply: Me neither! | Nowe's Ark! Great story! Refreshing and well-written. I love the way Yavanna breezes in and takes care of her critters. Poor Cirdan/Nowe and his helpers have such a chore; but it does all make sense. Author Reply: I couldn’t picture Yavanna sitting by while the poor critters got drowned. And the title was too fun to resist. :D | |
