Well, one day Erestor will be in a position to learn the answer to that question! A most interesting conundrum! And a moment of sadness, finding Glorfindel's tower that way. Author Reply: If you recognised the puzzle, I'm *very* pleased. :D Writing these drabbles made me realise exactly how long it was since I'd written the story they fit in with.

Ah! Surrogate aunts and uncles have been known to fill the heads of children with nonsense before.... Heh! But after the memories of realms lost.... Author Reply: It is a rather stark contrast, isn't it? But no one can weep forever -- or if they did, they'd be over the sea to Aman. Thank you for reading!

What a fascinating anthology, Clodia - I can just see Celebrian and Melinna merrily experimenting with beautiful colors. My favorite piece is Rubia Tinctoria; Erestor's attitude is just so perfectly male - why fuss about dyes and clothing while camping and tramping through the wilds - I had to laugh. Author Reply: I'm very glad you found these interesting! I'm interested in natural dyes myself, so it's a bit hard for me to judge this collection as a neutral reader, if that makes sense. I was afraid it might all be a rather dry topic, so it's wonderful to hear you liked these. Thank you for reading and for reviewing, as ever! :D (And, well, you can't blame Erestor: he was hungry. ;) I'm glad you laughed!)

"Inez?" he said. "What sort of a villain's name is that?" You know, there is a fight taking part in my mind about whether or not I want to know the history behind that! ;-) Author Reply: Ohhh, I'm sure it wouldn't be *too* hard to find if you went looking for it. Probably. :'D

Forgot to say on ffn: I like the sensory quality of these miniatures, the way the characters touch the materials. It's very real and very evocative. Author Reply: That's wonderful to hear! Thank you for taking the time to drop by here and let me know. :D

Another triumph for you, Clodia. As a former weaver and spinner, I have used many of these items for color. With Melina's delight in weaving in Imladris shared with Celebrian, it's like double-trouble :-) Thank you for making my day (even if I WILL be slightly, ever so slightly, late for work). - Erulisse Author Reply: //As a former weaver and spinner, I have used many of these items for color.// So have I! It's nice to meet someone who shares such an esoteric hobby. Although I am mostly a spinner -- but I dabble in dyeing and one day I'll take up weaving just to use up all my thread. :D And thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. I'm glad you enjoyed this set and I hope you weren't too late!

I'm not normally very keen on drabbles, but I really like these. Author Reply: That's really good to hear! Thank you so much for reading, and for letting me know. :D

A lovely progression of tree-related drabbles. All were thoughtfully written; but the first, the Apple vignette, was especially delightful. Author Reply: I'm so glad you think so! Especially about the Apple drabble -- it was the first time I'd tried my hand at drabbling, and I wanted a snippet about beginnings to set the tone. Thank you for reading and for reviewing, as ever!

Indeed, a lovely tribute to her foremother. Author Reply: I'm very glad you think so. Thank you for reading!

A lovely set of drabbles, and nice to see Erestor's take on events having to do with each tree. Author Reply: It's so good to hear you enjoyed these drabbles. Thank you for reading!
