I would love to see Melian again in another story. You show clearly, that she has the will and strength of her namesake. I really like how you portrayed Aragorn as an extremely loving father.

“No,” she cried and released him. “I will take care of him myself. He will still rue this day when he is an old man.”

This line just sums up perfectly, what Melian felt and it's the one that stood out to me. ^^

Thanks for writing!

Author Reply: Melian does indeed have a strength and will of her own, more so than any other of the children, even if you do not see it at the first glance, which makes her dangerous - as a certain young Rohir is soon to find out. And I think that Aragorn has something in his character that identifies him as a very caring and loving person to those he's close to or feels responsible for.
Thanks for reviewing.

And this one is my favorite so far! I love this young lady's fire! And yet, she still needs some daddy comfort. *grin* I love to think of Aragorn raising daughters. Feel sorry for any man coming a-courting though. LOL! Great job!

Author Reply: Really? That's great! I think that Aragorn had his hands full(next to ruling two kingdoms) with raising his daughters. Any child of his cannot but have a strong character. Thanks for commenting.

I already told you at OAA and GoI, but I'll say it again. LOVE THIS!

Author Reply: Your little pieces of feedback always make me feel good! Thank you.

I really enjoy how you write Aragorn through the many stages of his life. He is always in character and I am loving these ficlets!

Author Reply: Thank you, NiRi, for pushing me in the right direction. And it's good to hear that Aragorn is convincing.

Ah, I also had the first daughter (indeed the first child) of Aragorn and Arwen named Melian, and she also was found by many to be far more formidable than they'd planned for.

Author Reply: You named her Melian? That's wonderful. I absolutely love that name. Then your Melian is as strong as her namesake!

Very good. Yes, the irony of wearing things made over from Denethor.

Author Reply: Haha, I think that Aragorn was quite surprised at the beginning and was well aware of the irony, too.

I loved this one, you had me laughing yesterday Not only is Aragorn in borrowed clothing, there are pieces he does not know what to do with.

Author Reply: Thanks for commenting. The clothes must have come from somewhere. And Denethor doesn't need his anymore...

I am glad others have wondered where Aragorn got all that finery from. I always thought Tolkien was being a bit theatrical with the 'black armour and white cloak.' Although in one on my fics I blamed Gandalf! Well done.LBJ

Author Reply: I always wondered where the white cloak came from. It is the colour of the Stewards, and not that of the king. But he might look a bit like a Black Rider with his black armour and a black cloak to go with it.

This was lovely and very atmospheric. You capture young Aragorn well.

Author Reply: Thank you. That must have been a really tough year for him. I'm glad you commented.
