Terrible stories, indeed - like most fairytales are, if you only think about them a bit! Eldarion might end up wishing he hadn't asked to hear this story. I've a feeling it could be one to keep him awake at night.

We have a bit of the Odyssey, a bit of the Little Mermaid slightly altered, and a Welsh tale of the selkies, apparently; and now one of loss and grief.

I had to smile at sea obsessed Legolas. I recognised the Odsessy sp?, The Little Mermaid and I think the Lorelei amongst the stories. I eagerly await more.

Oh, I like this chapter! I think that Eldarion is going to learn a good deal about the princess! The stories were well-adapted to M-e, and I also like the anecdote about Legolas' reaction to being around the sea! Look forward to more!

Ohhh, that's sad about Legolas, but it makes sense. It's fascinating to "see the sea", and its effects on others, through the eyes of a royal child.

What a lovely chapter. Aragorn has a fine son, indeed.

"It's a very ancient wisdom, but a clear and truthful thought that if you become a teacher by your students you'll be taught." And from Eldarion she begins to learn compassion and thoughtfullness fill him and his father.

The Proprietor is right. Eldarion is turning out to be a wonderful young man. Hope the finals etc went well.

A very enjoyable chapter. I love the bond between Aragorn and his son and young Eldarion's thoughtfulness.I would like to know more of Seraphine's past.

It's the way Seraphine graciously permits Eldarion to accompany her as she is doing her own thing. How can he resist? And, along the way, he learns far more than her realises. (I'll bet his parents are enjoying the joke of that!) She admits she doesn't know things, too. And that she wants to discover more. A very untypical tutor! Author Reply: I love the whole "she's not really teaching me because I'm having fun" aspect of their relationship. And yes, I do think that the royal parents are vastly amused by the whole thing. seraphine is turning out to be a very fun character to write. Thanks for reading! ~El
