Angst  by Lindelea 34 Review(s)

I'm so strangely happy that there's a puppy about the place, no matter who's fic he escaped from!

And this had me howling...

"For the life of him he could not remember if he’d dealt with Saruman or not. He thought he had, but what if he’d just thought about it and hadn’t actually seen the task through? He found this happening more and more these days. Unless he wrote it down in his planner, sometimes he would think he’d finished a task when he’d really only thought about finishing it."

Omigosh. I'm dying.

:)

*giggle, giggle, snort* Oh dear *wipes tears from eyes*. This is some of the most hilarious thing I have ever read, and so wonderfully written at that! I think I`ve maybe read the first chapter before, but now that I`ve started writing myself, thw story gets a whole new perspective!

This is hilarious!

Who is the "unspeakable orc" lass?

This is hilarious! I caught just about all the references you've made, and you fit them in so well! But I must say the ending was the best, where Frodo thinks Pippin's drowned, since its original location is so new. Haha, wonderful job! There hasn't been such a humorous fic in a long while!

Ah ha ha ha ha! (cough)

I mean, how delightful! First, I am so glad you expanded the story; we all could tell immediately there was a lot more waiting to be written. So clever! And yet you manage to keep our hobbits IC (IN character), even to Frodo's indignation. I read a sentence, then I think of my favorite fics, and when I fasten on the one I think the reference is to, I just laugh. Hysterical piece - and much more waiting to be penned!

Ah, this is so funny to read of all the cliches that occur!

Frodo's sick. Of course.

Have you ever noticed that in almost every Merry and Pippin story, when they have a fight, Pippin gets sick and Merry feels terrible, ect, ect? Pippin is always some sickly little child, and Merry's a nice cousin but prone to fits of cruelty...

Then there's the Sam that cries every time he dissapoints Frodo. Or talks excessivly about gardening. Or uses "If you take my meaning" every other sentence?

Then, aside from the exceedingly grumpy Frodo, there's the overly sweet and innocent one. *Gag.*

Other than extreme angst, most of your characters avoid these cliches. (Thank Goodnees!)

I love this story! I hope that you update soon!

Ooooh, that was sneaky, in chapter 2 -- another way of leaving, indeed!

This is marvelous -- OC and OOC -- poor Frodo, *what* are we putting him through now? I gave him a broken ankle a while back (before I broke my own; I didn't know how mean I was being to him). Go climb in "Following the Other Wizard", Frodo, and relax in Goldberry's garden...

LOLOL!!! And of course only Frodo is aware of it -- but I must object to him being rude. Frodo is always polite, even to OCs (the only exception being when someone interrupts his attempted suicide).

Author Reply: 's all right, nobody panic! It was deliberate.

...and all will come clear in chapter 3, I hope. After reading chapter 3, do you still object?

Hee hee... "Had he seen an avaricious gleam in more than one set of eyes as Merry’s head hit the table?" This is such a wicked tale!

Author Reply: Terribly wicked, indeed. I'd be thoroughly ashamed of myself were I not having so much fun.
