Middle-earth Express Prompts  by Misty 142 Review(s)

Indeed, silence at times itself can be oppressive.

Lovely one that I see I missed in the past. Don't have time to read more now, but will check the other out as I can.

Author Reply: Silence can be quite difficult to deal with at times, especially when a person desires to have someone else to talk with, to share company with. I can see how at times, it would have weighed quite heavily on Frodo.

I always loved that Arwen and Aragorn had this beautiful connection between them, a "world only they shared." Care to write this moment through Aragorn's POV? This is truly wonderful!

Author Reply: I am glad you took so much enjoyment from this. At the moment, I have no plans to write Aragorn's POV, but we'll have to see what ideas the next prompts bring.

How beautifully you have met the challenge of the prompt, Misty. Your best one yet, I think. Thank you!

Author Reply: Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. I always enjoy writing Aragorn and Arwen.

She would wait until he slept, then bring him into the world only they shared.

Lovely. You did a great job filling out that brief quote from the book.

Author Reply: Thank you. That brief quote has always intrigued me, and I loved this chance to explore how it related to their lives.

Kissing, they are kissing, just wait till Elrond finds out. Just kidding, I actually love the two of them together.

Author Reply: LOL Well, I doubt Elrond was too pleased with them for the whole betrothal thing. A kiss here and there would be small compared to that. But I'm glad you liked this. I always enjoy writing the two of them together.

Nothing like the heat of summertime to get to a child. But lots of cold water perk things up a bit, good for both elves and kid.

Author Reply: I agree. Swimming was always my favorite way to beat the summer heat as a child. I'm sure Estel was quite glad that Elrond thought of it.

They certainly went further than have any others since toward accomplishing those goals. Not since Elros's own day had any been able to go so far.

Author Reply: True. Aragorn and Arwen did so much to help create that world of peace that they all wished for. Having each other to rely on helped them accomplish what many thought could never be done.

"As you journey the paths your life will take you down, remember tonight. Hold to us, to the love we share. You will show the world how it can be a better place, how love can overcome hate, caring and compassion can overcome pride, and the truth will always triumph over deceit. You will help build a world of peace, Aragorn, and I will be at your side as you do, helping you to do so."

How wonderful. I'm sure this is a memory and a strength that would sustain them both in the years to come.

Author Reply: I agree. I'm sure that Aragorn and Arwen thought back to that night a great deal in their lives, a memory to keep them going and striving for that world of peace.

This was really good, Misty! A very enjoyable summer read. By the way, I hope you had a wonderful birthday! :)

Author Reply: Thank you for the review and my birthday was good, thanks. It was so hot, though, that this story came easily to mind. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
