I am sorry that I have missed reviwing this chapter Misty but I am having computer problems! The plot is thickening by the minute. A new sister for Aragorn and another person drawn into the truth of the situation. Looking forward to reading the next chapter but got to dash to work now!

Author Reply: I always say better late than never. Thanks for the review, and sorry for your computer issues. Yes, there have been many changes for Eradan/Aragorn in this chapter.

As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for...The only thing that would have made this story even more fascinating for me, would have been if Aragorn/Eradan had shown up to save his father in the twins' already altered universe.

After reading all 11 chapters today, I am enjoying this story immensely and look forward to more.

Author Reply: Well... I can't say too much, but let's just say that the two timelines are rather mutually exclusive. I couldn't see how to put them in the same altered universe. That will only become clear later, though.

I'm glad you're enjoying it, and I do hope to have another chapter out soon for your reading pleasure.

Sorry that this is late. But I love the chapter. Love how happy Aragorn was to have a little sister, and glad that Gilraen thought better of the twins and her childred.
Poor Aragorn(Eradan) to be stuck for so long, wounded and missing his wife and son. So Elrohir overhear it all. Can not wait to see what happens next.

Author Reply: No worries. Better late than never. :) I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter so much. I had to have Gilraen thaw out toward the twins, because I couldn't stand to see little Aragorn growing up without them as brothers. But yes, I did feel very sorry for Eradan as I wrote this chapter. I'm hoping for Eradan/Aragorn's sake that having Elrohir find out about his secret will be a good thing.

Sorry I haven't reviewed for a while. This story continues to fascinate me with the characters' reactions to changing events and the complexity of the plot. Intriguing to find out what Elrohir's response to his discovery will be.

Call me stupid, but I hadn't considered the fact that all this takes place before the discovery of the one ring and before Sauron's return to Mordor. So many possibilities there...does Aragorn have the imagination to consider destroying the ring at this point, or must the story unfold as it did in the original? I'm impatient to see what you've got in store, but the quality of your writing deserves patience.

Author Reply: Thanks. I knew this story would by necessity be a bit complex when I started it, but I've been doing a lot of research on this as I write, trying to keep things as canon as I can. I want the only changes made to be due to the actions of my characters. :)

And yes, Aragorn considers many elements concerning the ring. What he chooses to do or not do is covered in the next chapter. ;-) It's currently being written. I also see a lot of possibilities there, we'll just have to see what Aragorn chooses to do.

Thanks for your patience and your reviews.

Sorry I haven't left a review of this story before, but I'm quite enjoying it and always look forward to an update. The way the twins and Aragorn are adapting (or trying to adapt) to their situations has been quite fascinating to watch and you have to give them credit even as your heart bleeds for them. This last chapter was especially poignant with Aragorn's talk with Gandalf. So many secrets between them, it has to be difficult for them both. I think for Aragorn it's the not-knowing that is the worst. If he knew for sure that he would never return to his own time, he would be able to grieve for what he will have lost and then gone forward, but he can't do that under the circumstances because he doesn't know if he even should. And now Elrohir knows the truth. It will be interesting to see how he deals with it and whom he tells. I only hope that Aragorn and the twins (and we) eventually learn who the son of a ***** is who's behind all this and what his real motives were for sending them back into the past. I doubt it's entirely benign. I look forward to the next chapter and hope you can update more frequently.

Author Reply: Thanks. I always love to welcome a new reviewer. Exploring how the characters react to the situations they find themselves in is one of the things I love about writing this story. I do think that the secrets held on both sides come between Aragorn and Mithrandir a bit, even with the strength of their friendship. And you're right. Not knowing his fate and future is the worst part for Aragorn. As for Elrohir, you'll see more of him and his decisions next chapter. I'm about in the middle of that chapter now. But the characters, and the readers, will have to wait some time before finding out who has sent them back and why. The answer will be given, but not anytime soon.

Thanks again for the review.

Wow. This is an incredible concept for a story. It is fascinating to see the way that small acts can change history. Poor Aragorn, he is far more alone than the twins right now. He'll have quite a few issues to work through. I must say, I hope that they eventually do get to go back. It's sad to see Aragorn, with all of the memories of his past life, having to go through experiences that remind him of his losses. Keep up the great work!

Author Reply: Thank you. I'm glad you're enjoying the story. I've taken a great deal of care and thought in planning out each chapter. And yes, Aragorn does have a lot on his plate right now. He's trying to ensure that history happens as it should, but things keep changing on him. And he's more an outsider in this version of his life, though he is carving a place for himself with his loved ones.

have you taken into account the time frame of the hobbit as well? i beleive aragorn or estel was 5 years old when gandalph led bilbo and the dwarves through imladris. keep the updates coming.

Author Reply: Yes, I am taking the Hobbit into account. Estel was 10 when the dwarves and Bilbo came through. I will be re-reading bits of the book to make sure that I keep things consistent. I'll update as soon as I can read the necessary parts and get the chapter written. Thanks.

A new baby, a new hope. Not all changes need to be for the worse. Great stuff Misty.

Author Reply: Yes, not all of the changes that are happening are bad. :) They're all falling for Lothrin the moment they lay eyes on her, I think. Even Aragorn/Eradan had to admit that perhaps this was meant to be from the beginning.

wow, just as i think that this couldn't better ( or, more confusing) it does... beautiful, as usual, though, a little distressed that the next chapter is not twin-centric... i will wait for it, though!

Author Reply: LOL You're not the first to comment about being confused. Don't worry, I will get back to the twins, but I want to continue little Aragorn's childhood in the next chapter. Thanks for the review.
