I liked Aragorn's silent pledge to Boromir. I have always wished that Boromir could have made it. Greedy of me, but I wanted all of them to survive.

Author Reply: We all did, I think! At least, with fanfic, we can imagine infinite possibilities.

Oh, Shirebound, this is one of the most wonderful short pieces I've read. Yes, the thanksgiving not known of there in the land so honored, yet so heartfelt.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!

Author Reply: Oh! *bounce bounce* Thank you! Sometimes it's possible to say everything we need to in a very short amount of words.

Excellent! I LOVE the whole idea of the Standing Silence--and thenfor Prince Faramir to add a moment for the land of the Ringbearers is very lovely touch.

There's more...right? :-)

Author Reply: Thank you. I really think Faramir might have thought of such a thing. What a joy to imagine such respect for the hobbits.

I'm not sure there will be more of *these* scenes, but more hobbit-fic is coming! Always.

:D

Very nice, Shirebound!
At the end of the day the people of Gondor will always be reminded that each day is a gift, given them by the little people from the north.

To conclude this review I quote *you*:

"From our hearts to yours... thank you". :)

Author Reply: Awww, thanks, Andrea. I really enjoyed writing these short scenes.

Ah this is nice! To misquote - idea becomes custom and custom becomes habit. Lovely idea Shirebound.

Author Reply: I like your misquote! Thanks, harrowcat.

I really like this. They look to the west to honor their begining and to the north to honor their rebirth.

Beautiful! :)

Author Reply: Oooh, I love that, Pearl! What a wonderful thing to say.

" I do not believe we have even begun to witness what they are capable of". Again, beautiful! To me, I think that is the appeal of all of Tolkien's stories. Very often, the heroes are the ones we would most likely expect. ordinary people doing extrordinary things out of loyalty and love. I beliieve all of us would like to hope we could do that too. Yes, very enjoyable!

Isn't that just the best and most inspiring thing to read about? Truly, that is a major theme of LOTR.

A lovely glimpse of sam's loyalty and Aragorn's respect for the the Hobbits.

Author Reply: Thank you, Linda.

The first vigil for Frodo's survival. And they do indeed have another one to see in which they have proof of what Periannath can endure....

Beautifully written, my friend.

Author Reply: "The first vigil for Frodo's survival" -- I do love how you word things.

Thank you.
