Perfect! I love the connection between elf and nature here, and it really reminds me of my first cat bringing my dad a mouse as a gift. The poor dear couldn't figure out why the man was so upset - she meant it as a compliment...

Author Reply: Thank you. I love that connection, too. I guess it's hard for some people to understand what an animal is tryring to say with their actions. Luckily, Legolas did.

Yes, Aragorn would need some positive feedback that day of days; and Legolas was the one to deliver it.

Author Reply: After fighting his destiny for so long, it's only natural that Aragorn would have doubts. Legolas was definitely the one to bolster his morale.

Well if anyone should recognize a king when they see one, it's Legolas. Becoming king must have been quite a shock to Aragorn's system after all those years as a ranger.

Author Reply: That intuitive elf knows his friend very well. As for Aragorn, it's definitely a far cry from ranger to king. He fought his destiny a long time, and now he has to deliver.

Oh, hurray! I love Aragorn's "If you hate it so much then stop getting yourself injured." I love his tartness to conceal the worry. And the ending is perfect. Nice writing!

Author Reply: That's my favorite line, too! It's classic Aragorn to try to cover up his worry by concentrating on helping Legolas. Thank you.

That was adorable. It leaves you with the good, fuzzy feelings, as opposed to those cheesy, fuzzy feelings =)

Author Reply: Thank you. Good fuzzy is definitely better than cheesy fuzzy. I'm glad you liked it.

that was cute, I liked it.

Lovely tribute from a grateful mother, although useless to Legolas save as an indication of thanks. Enjoy the tale.

Author Reply: Dead mice are a delicacy to hawks, so in her mind, the mother hawk thought it would be to Legolas, as well. I'm glad you liked it.
