| WHat a great chapter. THe inner turmoil of poppi, very well done. SHowing us what she decided by the kiss in the morning was great! And i definately laughed out loud at Gethron's final comment. Sorry i didn't respond to the rest of the chapters for a few days. We were out of town and away from anything resembling a decent computer. | |

| Yeah for poppi! I'm so glad she fell for him at last. And there are butthead rangers too. That brings some humanity to the race. Nice touch! If I wasn't so tired, I'd be boohooing over the brother's death. I hope that Tarkil somehow finds out what happened to him. Author Reply: I'm glad to see you thought Rangers should be human too. It worried me a bit that people might get upset that they weren't portrayed as 'perfect' people. Tarkil will find out what happened to his brother -- eventually. | Just got your response for the first review I left. Gethron is the guy, I could not begin to spell that name, I copy pasted it here, from your email. I am glad to hear he is alive. Did I totally miss the part that says he lives? I would not be the first time I have done that. I understood why he got into the fight with old BorgilDork. But I was disapointed with Tarkils behavior with Poppi. Granted she was being awfully forward. I understand her issue. She gets carried up with the wanting before her brain tells her to stop. But did he have to practically sneer at her? Sigh, not even fictional men are perfect. ;D Our fair hero seems to be under a lot of stress. I wonder why? ;D Mysterious Author Reply: Our fair hero ... aw, that makes me feel so good to know that someone else cares for him like I do! But given he's such a hero why do you think he'd behave like that with our dear little hazel-eyed Poppi? *snicker* Perhaps you should re-read chapters 2 and 4 I think you missed some important foreshadowing ... (Don't worry, I miss it in other people's stories all the time. | Oh, and I forgot to add that I think the story is still PG-13. I have read R and written NC-17. This is a PG-13 in my view and very nicely done I might add. I am so anxious for the next chapter to find out what the heck is the problem with our fair hero. MysteriousWays Author Reply: Thanks, it was a major concern but Nilmandra and Daw helped me figure it out. I had worried about someone claiming non-con, but Nilmandra felt that it was something a teenaged girl might experience and felt it stayed within the PG 13 boundaries. Phew! I'm glad to find I haven't ticked anyone off on that by under-rating it. And as for the problem with our fair hero? *snicker* Whatever do you mean? What's he done? Or what do you THINK he's done? | |

| WHAT??? What happened to Tarkil's buddy? Why is Tarkil being such a dork? I had a really lovely day today, reading this. I can hardly wait to see what comes next. What task has Aragorn placed on TArkil? This story is quite good and you have obviously taken great pains to make everything right and realistic. ' MysteriousWays Author Reply: Tarkil's buddy? Do you mean Gethron? He will be mentioned in the next chapter, and will make a reappearance later (I think it's chapter 12 and subsequent chapters.) He's got to get healed at Rivendell first. Good thing I didn't kill him off the way I'd originally planned! But then I found I really liked him and now I know other people do too. As for Tarkil being such a dork? LMAO! For getting mad at Borgil you mean? Because what else has he done? You'll just have to wait and see ... Thanks for the review MW -- I needed it today. | |

| That didn't take long! :-) Good decision, I think. As I read this this time, I was particularly struck by your portrayal of the sons of Elrond. I loved your sense of them as elegant and faintly menacing and remote. They get such poor treatment from most fanfic writers, I think. Poor Poppi. I assume she will straighten the brothers out one of these days. Author Reply: Thanks, Daw! I didn't think the SoE would take kindly to Tarkil's behaviour considering what their brother was facing - though Tarkil didn't know about it yet, of course. I've tried to 'do right' by them. You figured out about Poppi and the brothers! | |

| Oooooo Romance!!! I love a GOOD Romance!!! Another truly wonderful chapter. I am enjoying getting to know Tarkil. He is a cool dude and I bet handsome too. OH and he has a thing for a lass with Hazel eyes. Mine are hazel. Maybe he would willingly run off with me since Poppi is being difficult. I am really looking forward to the next chapter.
