Aw - lovely breakfast reading Gentle Hobbit. Especially when its an early start and I had a late night! All I want to do is crawl under those blankets too!

Author Reply: I know what you mean! I was called early, early, to fill in for someone at work. The blankets were awfully tempting, I can tell you! I'm glad you enjoyed the breakfast reading! :)

Oh, these are all so wonderful! I especially like "Candles"-such a lovely "new tradition!"-and...oh, what is it called? I'm sorry...it's the one you wrote for Frodo Baggins of Bag End, after "Ring of Fire." That was very sweet, and a great help to me just now, as I'm dealing with Rosie playing healer while Sam is away in my story "The Last Days." Thank you! Namarie, and God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: It was called "Chain of Healing" and I'm glad you liked it and that it will help you in your writing. I enjoyed writing that one. I also espcially enjoyed writing "Candles" -- I had such a strong image with Sam and his actions to accompany me.

Aragorn and Frodo; Sam and Frodo; transformations back--momentarily, at least, through the type of pain that brings temporary easing of the body.

Well, well done.

Author Reply: Yes, exactly. Thank you. The only way to reach Frodo during those times.

Been a while since I first read these drabbles. Frodo the somewhat less than visible, yet the focus of concern from the rest of Hobbiton and Bywater because he has obviously changed the most of all while not appearing to have done so notably at all. Self-effacing and willing to make himself disappear.

Vivid, beautifully written, sweet but not too. A lot of heart in a few words!

I love these, especially the last one where everyone is arguing over who Frodo belongs to. That is so precious. I love the idea that he belongs to all of Middle Earth.

Author Reply: I am especially fond of that last one too. Thank you!

I remember reading the last one before. Beautiful images. Remember the Hobbits, including the one who writes.

The first startling, the second heartening. Very, very good.

A tradition of but a year in the end, but one which was a worthy idea.

To all and none he belonged, for he was Illuvatar's child in the end.

Author Reply: And not something they could understand.
