A wonderful end to a wonderful fic! Thank you!

Author Reply: Thank you for your encouragement all through this one, Elendiari! I couldn't help but think when reading your comment, "Ah yes, everyone is (almost) recovered and ready for the next adventure/mishap/natural disaster..." *grins* Ah, what we put our beloved Fellowship through...

Just what I needed today. You delved into Legolas' mind wonderfully. His link with the trees was perfect. In fact, your insights into all the Fellowship leave me standing in awe. Not only do you weave a good tale, but you use it to broaden our understanding of the various characters.

Thank you for another satisfying tale.

Author Reply: Elwen, thank you. I cannot tell you how much your review, coming from a writer I respect so much, means to me. The credit for Legolas talking to the trees actually belongs to Shirebound, who commented that she would like to see that in a story. I was struggling with the story-line at that time, and her remark just opened a window in my mind. Thank you so much for your kind words.

Absolutely outstanding story. And this was a great ending. I've rarely seen anyone write every character of the fellowship equally well. Sorry to see this one end.

Author Reply: Hi, Elliska! I sure appreciate you being so generous in your reviews. Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement. I also very much appreciate you commenting on my writing of all the Fellowship. I put a great deal of effort into that, and really welcome it when someone notices. Thanks.

Very nice story indeed. All the CC stay in character, and the little banter between Aragorn and Legolas is enjoyable.

Keep up the good work!

Author Reply: Hi, Timmy. Thank you for your review, and for commenting on the interaction between Legolas and Aragorn. There isn't really much in canon to suggest friendship, and more, affection, between them, but surely there was. In this, perhaps fanfiction is more true to the spirit of Tolkien than editorial space permitted the Professor to be?

Legolas is very powerful in this story - I love his communication with the trees and the way they protect him. And I really like Gimli making the first approach to him - Dwarves are not unreasonable. Good image of the trees looking at his axe and him as tree murderers.

Nice hobbits - and the ever-present provisions. Very practical. Good caring Boromir, covering them with his cloak.

Most enjoyable story.

Oh, this story was not easy to read. A bit too scary for me. In other words, you're very good at convincing me a situation is too awful for a happy ending to be possible.

This is a great description of hobbit attitudes: "Several apples from Merry’s pockets and half a small wheel of cheese and some bread from Sam’s, and the hobbits stared at what was, for hobbits, a very unsatisfactory supper. They had canvassed the Big Folk but none of them had thought to bring food. Merry shook his head disapprovingly, his opinion of Big People’s priorities dropping a notch."

Hey Budgie.

Glad to see you have updated. Hope you do not have to have surgery. Write when you can, and as always, keep coming up with exciting cliff hanging stories.

This was WONDERFUL, Budgie! You have a real talent for writing creepy, gruesome ruffians... right up my alley, I must say. And though I was egging Gandalf and Aragorn on at every step, I have to admit I got a little thrill at how much danger Frodo found himself in.

Lovely interaction between Frodo and Gandalf---how I do enjoy seeing the wizard's concern. And I imagine Frodo might be a bit traumatized, too, seeing as how close he came to being assaulted. I hope we'll get to see more Frodo comforting soon! Looking forward to the next chapter.

It has to be the rest of the fellowship, right? Boromir riding, with Sam and Merry behind him? I'm not sure, but knowing you, we're probably in need of some fluffy healing for Legolas. ;)

Wow! That was great. I'm glad that Legolas has at least been looked at. But they are all still in trouble. At more soon please!
