Andy,I am an avid gardener, and enjoy the toil that comes along with it. This is the 6th year that I have pleatnd vegetables. I grow things year-round, and have picked spinach, turnips and carrots in February I had to laugh at Erin's comments, as I have had a similar assessment of my produce when eating some mixed greens I pleatnd.I grew up in a home that had several small garden patches, scattered throughout the small lot the house stood on. My Grandmother insisted that we have a garden. Raising several children through the depression and then through WWII rationing, she always had her victory garden every year, right up until she passed away. It's not like we had bushel baskets of produce, but it was always nice to go pick some lettuce, a fresh tomato, and a cuccumber or two and have them with dinner. She had me start the seedling in the sun room , plant them in spring, and pull weeds all summer. Funny thing is, I never saw this as work .Last week, the WSJ had an article about the explosion in home gardens, due to the drive to eat organic and rising food costs. Makes sense to me. I just like to grow stuff we can eat. I like learning that comes through trial and error. I hope you and Erin keep it up.

This story is splendid- though a fervent Eowyn/Faramir I am, I have actually been wanting to read a story like this for a long time- and as a plus, it's well-written! I agree with LisaB's review- it's not probable that you'd be able to finish such a complex story within that last chapter, and I am looking forward to the conclusion. If it may be drawn out, it's all the better- more reading pleasure for us! ^^

I was looking forward to a resolution, but as usual you are right---the story you have created cannot be told so quickly. The night battle was vivid--it held me spellbound as I read. I cannot wait to see what happens next, *sigh* but I know I must! Your updates take forever, but they are truly worth the wait.

I really think you need a beta to catch your errors. Your work is too good to go out with the mistakes I find on a first reading. They aren't numerous, but they do jar the reader out of the story. I would be happy to help. beaudol@hotmail.com

Wow!

That was awesome! I read it in one go.

I have not read an E/L story before and I was hooked! Tell me, are you by any chance related to Anne Rice???

The idea of Vampire Elves blows my mind! I have heard of Dark Elves before, but this is definitely more deadly.

Awww. So glad to see Thranduil save the day! I always liked him =)

Thank you!!!!!!! I have been looking forward to this chapter for months and I was starting to think you weren't going to finish it. I love the relationships that you have set up in here and the individual personalities of all the characters. You created so many of them but they all have their own identities instead of "random oc character".

Great chapter! Please get the rest out soon?

I'm so glad to see another chapter up! And I enjoyed it very much - especially Thranduil. It's good to see an Elf who isn't quite so... saintly, I think would be the word for it. He feels very well drawn out (I hope there's more of him coming up!). Really, really, good. I can't wait for the next one!

So glad that you were able to update - I have been watching for the next chapter! And it was worth waiting for!

What did I enjoy about it? You seem to me to have a really good handle on relationships between characters. I particularly liked the scene between Eowyn and Eomer where he asks why she left and Eowyn is forced to think about how she behaved but through Eomer's eyes, and sees that there is more than one way to interpret what she did.

The scene where the power struggle is played out was also well done in my view. Eowyn emerges in charge, manque her own inclination, yet the line is still clearly drawn between Rhunballa and Gondor. This must be tricky for Eowyn to manage, given her stated loyalty to Aragorn.

I also liked the play between Eowyn and Legolas about their new love. It was really funny to hear Eowyn's embarassment when she learned that Legolas had asked Aragorn about their love-making! I like how you present the actions of third parties as seen by Eowyn.

I too was pleased that Legolas (and others) believed that Eowyn made her own decisions. But Legolas' action to defend her honour was nice to see and quite in character, I think, for the Mirkwood elf!

I was a bit taken aback when Thranduil arrived - I wasn't expecting him. I thought that he would look quite a bit like Legolas, but obviously not in your story.

I look forward to the next chapter. Good luck with school and work in the meantime, and thank you for the pleasure you have given your readers.

A little misty eyed at the moment - hard to see the keyboard.
Seeing this chapter was such joy. Reading it was both pleasure and pain: pleasure because it is beyond excellent and pain because I don't want this story to end. I really don't know if I want the next (last, waah) chapter soon or a long, long wait. The anticipation ... !
A thousand blessings on you and yours.

I am SO happy that this story has been updated. I check the link here and on ff.net just about everyday in hopes that it has been updated. I was so afraid that this was an abandoned fic and I very happy to see that it is not.

I worry for Legolas and Eowyn. I really love how you have written them, and I love their relationship, but after learning from Thranduil that their bond could disappear when the Queen has been killed, I am really worried. They have both gone through so much. They healed each other in many ways and I sincerely hope that they are able to stay together and marry.

Looking forward to finding out what happens in the last chapter. Please don't keep us waiting long, though I do understand your reasons for the lack of a sooner update. I am a writer as well as an artist and I understand how real life can get in the way sometimes.

Best of luck with the final chapter and when this tale has been spun, I hope that you will consider writing other E/L fics as you have a real knack for them as well as writing! Til next time!
