| MM! I'm back! Sort of. Anyhow, I finally am able to focus long enough to read a chapter. Confetti time! forgetting, now that was a different story. Ah yes, with all manner of creatures: cats, dogs, horses, ponies, and even people. Or maybe I mean especially people. Though I've found that horses can hold fast to a grudge for quite a long time. (Ravens, too, or so I've heard.) Gamhelm is so wise... And young Éomer is, dare I say, precious! (A 12yo boy might not appreciate that description, however.) I love that his horses have "Wind" as part of their names. I named my mare Windwalker, though she went by "Windy" instead. With her short attention span, by the time you got her full name out, she'd already forgotten why you were talking to her, whereas "Windy" seemed to grab her attention just fine. As always, your characters feel so real and relatable. Reading this chapter has been a lovely way to start my day. Thank you so much for sharing it. ((((hugs)))) Lin | |

| "...words spoken to one's horse were sacrosanct..." Ah, the relationship between the Rohirrim and their horses. Beautiful portrayal of Eomer the Man. Author Reply: Lady Forlong! Thanks for writing! It only makes sense that Rohirrim would have this kind of relationship with their horses. "Beautiful portrayal of Eomer the Man." Thanks! I have always loved Eomer as a character and Karl Urban just brought him to life! A warrior, but a warrior with a heart and respect for others. Thanks again for taking the time to write. All that they had lost; all that was now expected of him. Dear Éomer, so young to rule so many. It's lovely that he can confide his deepest secrets to Windfleet. Author Reply: Shirebound! Thank you so much! He is now King of the Horselords. Would you expect anything other? He would always confide in his horse. As he has a long reign and is known after as Eomer Eadig (Eomer the Blessed) he succeeded marvelously. CONFESSION: All I know about horses I learned from Trixie Belden books.
