More than three years ago I read this tale on HASA and asked for your permission to translate it... but never got any reply. I must confess I translated it nonetheless, and since then it has been a jewel among the stories on my (german) site. If you want to have a look (at last), go here:

What a beautiful story. I could feel Arwen's grief and her pain at the long good-byes from her children, especially her son. Although nothing compared to the pain she felt for losing Aragorn. I found it a nice touch that Legolas brought her to Lorien.

Again, such elegant writing. Each word seems chosen with care to evoke feelings and mental images that are clear and authentic. Your story plays in the mind like a vivid memory, it seems so real. ~TF

This is exceptional writing: elegant, clear, with incredible depth and insight. This piece has a heartbreaking poignancy and I think that it is because so much of Arwen's musings could be those of any person at the end of a long life. The sentiments are so familiar and genuine, but they also fit perfectly into Middle-earth. This is a real gem. Beautiful! ~TF

And in escaping the circle of the world, she completed her own. Wow! That was a very well written tear jerker. There are a lot of "Arwen and Aragorn's last moments" fics out there but this is definitely one of (if not the) best.

This was so well written, it's frightening...

So many of us strive to give shape and meaning to the feelings within. You, I believe, have succeeded where most fail. Effortlessly (it seems) have you written of the love and loss, the joy and grief that abound in the secret places of the heart, and, through your finely crafted words, somehow, the darkest sorrows of the soul are transformed into songs of beauty. What an exquisite piece. I am still unsure if the tears I shed while reading this were from overwhelming grief or from its sheer beauty.

You have a very great gift. Thank you for sharing it with all of us.

Hope you dont mind if I review this here as well. :) Its my favourite of your works, as I'm sure I've told you many, many times before in all those rambly emails. Sorry if you didnt want to hear that again.:)

As always, this fic captures totally just how well you write. It has everything in it - strong characterization, subtle dialogue and the most important of all (to me at least!) - very well written and meaningful angst. The tears certainly dont come from a crocodile when this is read.

I mailed a couple of times, but got no reply. Sadly, I think I've scared you off my my weirdness. I have, havent I??!?

Looking for the next update soon!

I have no words, but I must say that this was very well written. Cheers.
