| This is lovely, and believable. I loved how you described Aragorn's discomfort with the rich food, the constant attention, and the ever-present guards, yet he tolerated it all. Much as I enjoy stories about Aragorn escaping from his guards, I cannot quite picture him doing that. I imagine that he respected the people--who had waited for so long to have a king--too much to act that way. And his thought that once he had an heir, he would be a little freer, was very lovely, and bittersweet. Being a king does come at a price. I hope you will write more stories! Author Reply: Thank you! | This is Beautiful. Wonderful job capturing Aragorn's voice and thoughts. Just got back to reading in the world of LOTR. So glad that this was the first one I glanced at. | Ah, but I can all too easily imagine Aragorn thinking precisely in this way! The King Returned is in no way a private individual, and now belongs to everyone in two kingdoms. Well thought out.
