Destiny's Child  by Mirkwoodmaiden 3 Review(s)

Dear Mirkwoodmaiden
I imagine how difficult this was to write. But you did it wonderfully. With all the heartbreak and tragedy. Wow, it cuts deep. From when Éomer sees his Cousin injured on the horse from far, to how they lock eyes in silent knowledge and accepance, to when Éomer pleads him to stay just a little longer, to not yet leave him. The pain is overwhelming. But different than them both Éowyn cannot accept it.Her despair breaks my heart. How hard it is to just know you can't do nothing more than to be by his side and ease his passing. I hate Grima so much in that moment as he comes to urge them away from their dying Cousin.
And poor Théoden is not in any state to realize what is happening, that his son is about to go from him forever without having a chance for farewell.
Thank you for a very well-written chapter!
Be well!

Thank you! This section of the story has been particularly hard to write. I wrote it in small spurts it made the emotional depth and pain easier to deal with. I tried to make the emotions as true to each character as I could. People handle grief differently. I hope I succeeded.

Must dash.
Falling asleep((hugS))

Théodred locked eyes with his younger cousin; the truth shared silently and accepted.

What a moment, for both of them. You're filling in this story so beautifully.

Thank you so much! I do love writing gap filler stories! And this one needed to be told! I'm glad it is coming across well because these have not been easy chapters to write!!

Hope you are well!

Ooo, lovely to see a new chapter, but too tired to read right now (just finished working and my eyes are done for the day, but I couldn't resist peeking at SoA with longing because I so want to finish some chapters and post the darned things, and I find motivation in seeing new chapters posted to the site though my workload is such that I don't have time or energy even to read this week. I can hope, anyhow).

I just wanted to send a good word, let you know I've been thinking of you and hoping all is well. I am looking forward to reading this when I have knocked out the current project. Very motivating to contemplate!

Hugs,
Lin
