Hey dear,
this is actually another attempt to contact you. Did you get my messages? I tried by e-mail and by ffnet message.

Hello! I just found the email sent on May 3. It somehow got buried in my "other" folder that Hotmail set up.

How are you?

Loving the love between the ladies and the camaraderie between the men. Looking forward to the next chapter. Hope it’s soon.

Thank you for taking the time to write! I am going to try and complete another couple of chapters soon. It might go into the rotation of chapter writing with "Reunion in Mirkwood" and "Destiny's Child" Three stories on the go all at once...I must be mad!!

LOL!

Hope you are well!

I'm delighted that you're adding to this happy story! What a lovely chapter.

I am glad too! At first I just meant for it to be one or two chapters and as I was writing I was mentioning more characters so apparently they want their part of this story as well! "Destiny's Child" is coming to some hard times for Éowyn so a little future happiness to the leaven the mix so to speak!

Hope you are safe and healthy!

Well, of course Faramir and Eowyn's daughter would adore horses! I can just see Eomer as a doting uncle.

Love the vistas of Faramir's hard-earned happiness,

Thank you for taking the time to write! It is so appreciated!! Yeah it only stands to reason that Eowyn's daughter and Eomer's niece would love horses!

Definitely see Eomer as a doting and very attentive uncle!

And Thanks. I have been having a great deal of fun writing about Faramir and Eowyn being happy in the Fourth Age. They both deserve it!

Oh! You left me laughing. That marvellous ending to the chapter makes me start with "overrun with hobbits" instead of putting down my thoughts start-to-finish.

But to start - I love how in love they are after 20 years. And Eowyn's remembering how those blue eyes saw through her despair in their earliest days. And the old war wound, remembrance of what he passed through to reach his reward. (And that he can forgive his father.)

Next... I wish I'd had an uncle who'd brought me a horse at 14! Or at any age, really. I think I first became horse-crazy at age 3 when my mum read Black Beauty aloud to me for the first time. We wore that book out.

So delightful! I know you said you'd continue this after you've finished the other story, but I have to say I am really looking forward to hearing just which hobbits are having second breakfast, and how they plan to honor their friends' anniversary. :)

(p.s. As always, hoping to catch a glimpse (or more) of Beregond, eventually. He might even do something brave over the course of the story (depending on how long it is) and save someone's life, LOL.)

(((hugs))) Hope this finds you and yours well.

So glad you loved it. To clue you in I have decided that Merry, Pippin and Sam and their families will be overrunning the breakfast nook! It will most definitely be a most festive day.

But firstly, in my ongoing campaign of making Faramir and Eowyn happy I thought 20 years was a nicely round number to celebrate. (Shaun and I are only at 16 -- which is not quite the round number I was looking for! LOL) Time has moved on Faramir is 57 (but a very young 57) and Eowyn is 44. But their love and passion for each other is still very much alive. And twenty years is a good refelction time for why and how they fell in love.

On forgiving his father, I guess I think real healing can only happen once you can forgive your parents their mistakes or at least make peace with them. Yes some things might not be forgiveable but thankfully this story does not deal with those issues. Faramir is able to forgive his father. (especially as he in my story "Bound by Duty; Bound by Joy" he is able to see what actually concerned Denethor in his last moments).

I thought a good way to show some change and passage of time was writing about the old injuries and how he has made peace with those as well.

I thought about what a daughter might be named and being named for his mom just made a lot of emotional sense. And Well if your uncle was Eomer, King of the Mark in the land of the horselords I would think that he would have given you a horse as well! :-)) I imagine that Eomer is a consummate breeder of champion horseflesh.

I suspect that Beregond will make an appear or two in the story! :-))

Hope you and yours are well!

Stay safe! (((virtual hugs)))

Happy anniversary!

(I confess to having skipped quickly to the end without reading; I am saving this to savour tomorrow...)

Be well. I raise a glass (of iced tea, considering the time of day) to your anniversary with good wishes for many more to come.

Author Reply: Lindelea!

Thanks! I will probably finish this story after I finish "Leaving Home; Coming Home" but I really just wanted to write something on my anniversary!

Stay safe! ((virtual hugs))

a flutter of color, blond hair and half-tied ribbons came running at him

That's a delightful image. Happily-ever-afters, good friends, good food, and hobbits! What a marvelous celebration.

Author Reply: Shirebound!

Thanks! Happily-ever-afters all I seem to want to write these days. It makes me happy to write about Faramir and Eowyn being happy! And I figured that if they had a daughter she would be named after his mother.

Thanks for writing!

Stay safe!
