A New Quest  by Linda Hoyland 3 Review(s)

This story is so cute! I love Elanor's discovery of the limits of royal competence. I've often had similar experiences when dealing with high-status colleagues who attempt something practical: sometimes all you can do is praise the effort, shield them from the effects, and gently direct them back to the elevated tasks of leadership where they can't do as much damage! ;) Thanks for a good laugh.

I loved this, but I totally agree with Arwen. Those who love cooking can do so.

Oh Linda, this is delightful! I really enjoyed this story. Hobbits still have much to teach "the Big Folk", and I like imagining that such a familiar skill for Elanor would be exotic and difficult for others. Nicely done!
