Way to go Frodo. I decided it's about time I started reading stories on SOA again.

Author Reply: Gads--I missed so many comments!

Yes, Frodo has learned to protect himself and others. Thanks so, Tari!

No one messes with Frodo :) - Nor will they mess with Sam again either.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Indeed not, Antane! Heh!

(Could you please send me a private email--the laptop died and I hadn't updated your email address on my archived copy of my email client. Thanks!)

*Grin*

I have not had much chance to read and review any fic, as my computer has had an untimely death several weeks ago, but by good fortune I had a chance at another computer while out today.

I get to do a bit of writing and reading on my tablet, but have had no luck in making the print at SoA large enough to read on that device, and it won't let me stay logged in long over at LJ. :-( Anyway I was glad to get to use this computer for a short while.

I always love seeing Lotho get well-deserved comeuppance, especially at Frodo's hands (reminds me of the punch in the nose I allowed Frodo to give him on Merry's behalf in one of my own stories), and this time I got to see it happen right in front of Lobelia. Of course, she'll probably take herself promptly up to Bag End and rant to Bilbo about his wild Brandybuck ward, but I daresay Bilbo will send her off with a flea in her ear, in even more of a snit than when she arrived. Such fun to imagine! Perhaps you could even give us that scene one of these days.

Author Reply: I now have two laptops, but one has an inadequate hard drive while the other is loaded with the abominable Windows 10, which doesn't allow me to use my beloved PMMail2K, which is annoying. They updated the nearest satellite towers, and now I can't use my Virgin Mobile modem dongle any longer, so I can't send email from home without changing outgoing protocol. I hate progress with technology when it impedes my communications!

Anyway, at least I got to do my depiction of the first proper punch Frodo lays on the detestable Lotho, and it was indeed delightful to find a way to make Lobelia part of the audience. Thanks so!

Wonderful! That was a well-placed and well-planned blow!
And Frodo made sure that Lobelia was there to witness it all. I am truly impressed!

Author Reply: Oh, yes--he wanted her to see THIS! I'm certain she was mightily impressed, and that she knew well there was nothing she could do to stop Frodo or do anything about the situation. Lotho and Ted only got what they deserved, after all.

Splendid!

Author Reply: So glad you approve, Freyalyn. Thanks!

Samwise Gamgee certainly has a champion in Frodo Baggins! Good for him, for standing up for Sam and Pulgo the way he did.

Author Reply: Frodo now realizes he has some power to redress wrongdoing, and he will apparently use it wisely and temperately, but hopefully consistently in the defense of the denizens of the region around the Hill.

Ah! the famous punch let loose in righteous cause. You continue to paint vivid pictures Larner. Thank you for sharing.

Author Reply: Oh, yes--it is at last unleashed in the service of justice, and it takes no more than one each to subdue this pair! Heh! Love to Shadow.

Wow, Frodo proves again and again to mean what he says, and says what he means. It's easy to understand, from experiences like this, why Sam would follow Frodo to the Moon and back. Nicely done.

Author Reply: Yes, Sam sees his young Master as one who is capable not only of providing a defense, but who does not do more than he needs to in order to get his point across. Good leaders generate loyalty. Thanks so, Shirebound!
