An Unexpected Adventure [IN HIATUS]  by KathyG 4 Review(s)

A terrible battle to watch, to be certain. But Halbarad has been saved, and Eowyn knows her own attraction to Aragorn will not be reciprocated.

Author Reply: True on all counts! Thankfully, Halbarad will live to be his cousin Aragorn's friend and support, and Eowyn has to face the fact that Aragorn will never be her husband. And you're not kidding about the battle! K.G.

So the Witch King has landed on the battlefield. Jennifer could not know yet that her new friend Eowyn is going to be having a "Supergirl" adventure of her own! I am anxiously waiting for you to shift and let us see what is transpiring in the other threads of the story, as well. I agree with others who have said that you are blending your own AU elements and the book and movie stories rather well.

Author Reply: Not to worry--you will!

And yes, I agree about Eowyn. For that matter, Merry had his own "Superhobbit" adventure at the same time! =)

Thank you so much! I am so glad you are enjoying the story. K.G.

Author Reply: Yes, Jennifer's POV is a bit limited at the moment! And you will soon be seeing some other threads of the story, unlike JRRT, who made us wait a whole BOOK before seeing what was going on with the others! LOL!

And thanks for the compliment on our blending. It's not always easy. DF

LOL, I had foresight about Halbarad and I was right. Kaylee's rock did save him on the fields. Everything has been well blended so far.

Author Reply: Thank you! That means a lot to us. Yep, Kaylee's gift has saved his life!

Author Reply: One of the first things we decided between us, as we prepared to write the story, was that each child had something special to do. The one that stymied us most, was how could a little five year old make a difference. I hope you like the solution to that question! And yes, we did sort of telegraph the importance of the rock. A famous mystery writer (I forget who) once said that if a little detail is mentioned once, it's probably just a little detail; twice it may be a red herring. But three times means it is important to the story!

I'm glad you like our blending of the three different universes! DF

What an action-packed chapter! It's interesting to see these events, and these people, through such a fresh pair of eyes.

Author Reply: Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. K.G.

Author Reply: The next few chapters will very much be full of action. I hope that you like how it goes! DF
