Swan Song  by Conquistadora 3 Review(s)

Wow. This chapter was amazing. So much going on - the battle, the talk between Imrahil and Thranduil before the battle, and of course the surprise arrival later in the chapter. Thranduil was indeed quite generous, considering all they have gone through, but it is understandable given the circumstances as he observed them. The battle was so well written I could picture it all.

The discussion about the Lat Alliance was very interesting. And that a prince of the line of Oropher had been sent to participate in the Fellowship and battle before the Black Gates - yes, I hadn’t thought of it that way, but there may be something of redemption in it for his family. It is interesting to think that out of the all the major Elves available Elrond sent a prince of the wood Elves. A truly far-sighted choice, indeed.

Really, I love your Thranduil. I thought this story would be Imrahil centered, but it is all about Thranduil and I really love that.

I love to see Imrahil being so admirative of the Elvenking because... Well who is not????

This story shows really well all the different facets of Thranduil. We see him like a child enjoying wholeheartedly his travel south, and then becoming the famously short-tempered and dangerous woodland king when his people are being threatened and killed.

Also, this last chapter was really good. Your description of the battle made me really capture it and I can't wait to see Thranduil's plan to be put into execution. He fears nothing and has complete confidence in his warriors.

I hope to read the next chapters soon.

Thank you!
