S.R. 1433  by Garnet Took 4 Review(s)

I don't remember this! (Not that that means anything...) What a clever way to incorporate all four prompts into a story! I do miss Marigold's challenges -- they sparked an awful lot of creativity.

I love Pippin's gentle teasing of Merry, the many memories both good and bad, and the obvious love between the cousins. I think the (future) Thain and Master make an excellent team.

Author Reply: I had almost forgotten it too. :) I'm glad the incorporation of everything works. I had not felt really sure of this one when I wrote it and I think that's why I never posted it.

I have hopes of doing more stories with Pippin and Merry in their roles as Thain and Master.

Thanks again for reading and giving me more encouragement to get back into writing.

Love the consideration for the possibility of a new bridge from both sides of the argument.

Author Reply: Thanks. I actually surprised myself when I went back and read this one. I didn't think I had written much of a story with this one, but it was actually okay with a little age on it. Glad it rang true to you and thanks for still reading and reviewing my stuff.

I didn't remember this until I was more than halfway through it! It really was a nice conversation, and made a whole lot of sense!

Author Reply: Thanks, Dreamflower. Glad it made since. Sometimes I'm not sure about some of my stuff. :) Heck, I'm not even sure how I forgot to post here years ago. :)

That’s why the Master and the Thain consult, my dear Merry. They balance each other.

Very true, and very wise. I enjoyed this little story very much.

Marigold's challenges were so wonderful!

Author Reply: I miss her challenges, and having her active in LOTR. I'm glad I got to be a part of some of them. They were definitely a way to broaden a writer's range.

Glad you enjoyed the story and liked that line. It's one of my favorites too.
