this weapon represented everything he had long fought to defend, the Realm of Isildur and Anárion, and the legacy of Númenor of which he and Aragorn were a living part.

What a wonderful and insightful thought. I'm happy for both of these men that they've lived to see their lands at peace, and found such steadfast friends.
