Imrahil's Daughters  by Lialathuveril 8 Review(s)

Oh my!!! This was painful to read. The whole time I thought, why didn’t she just tell him the truth? But then so story. 😊

Author Reply: It's my belief that sticking to the truth is usually much the best thing to do - but in this case we would have missed all the fun ;-)

Uh, oh! That doesn't sound well. What will Eomer come up with? Lothiriel was brave. OTOH what else could she do? Waiting much longer would make it all worse. I hope for everyone involved that Eomer calms down enough for explanations soon.

Author Reply: By now you will have seen what Eomer's come up with. His temper tends to run away with him at times, but then that's half the fun of writing about him, at least for me.

Well, they knew ahead of time that he would most likely take the truth badly. They were right. Am glad Ivriniel spoke up for her niece as she did.

Author Reply: Hello Larner,
I think there was no way he would not take the truth badly, not after the way his heart got involved. And perhaps Ivriniel's words will eventually get through to him, but it will take a while with that thick skull of his!

Oh dear, whatever will Eomer do now? I feel so sorry for both of them. Great chapter.

Author Reply: Hello Linda,
to be honest I feel a bit guilty for what I put them through - I will have to make it up to them!

Eomer... please don't do something stupid. Please don't do something stupid. Please don't do something stupid.

I'm really proud of Lothíriel for telling him the truth. It was never going to be easy; but the tangle of lies was getting too much - so as much as it's hurt her and caused more problems, at least it's out in the open.

Fantastic as ever!

Author Reply: Hello Imladris,
I'm not sure Eomer can hear you ;-D And I agree with you that Lothiriel is better off with telling the truth - at least in the long term. Short term I'm not so sure...

Oh Dear! I can feel a lot of trouble coming up for all concerned. My heart goes out to Eomer, I hope he can forgive her but this being Eomer, once he has calmed down and let Lothíriel explain, things should be ok. Merry Christmas to and your family. LOL Galathil.

Author Reply: Hello galathil,
the problem might lie with 'letting Lothiriel explain'. And also Eomer being Eomer the 'calming down' might take a while ;-)

Merry Christmas to you and yours as well, but there will be more chapters coming up before then.

What a horrible interlude for both of them! :-( Hard to imagine how it might have gone worse, and it certainly did take a huge amount of courage on her part. But I hope someone can talk sense into Eomer soon...

Author Reply: Hello Lyana,
yes, she didn't really choose a good moment - although there would have been no good one anyway. As for somebody talking sense into Eomer, he's rather pigheaded at times...

Oh my goodness. Even knowing all along that lies cause disaster, my heart still weeps for both of them.

Excellent tale.

Author Reply: Well, Lothiriel has dug such a deep pit, I think it's going to take some work to get out of it again. But don't worry, they will.
