Enigmas- The Life and Love of Linwe and Frodo  by MysteriousWays 2 Review(s)

"If only your uncle had stayed home!" lol... :-P I hear ya, Frodo!

Hello Myst! I'm sitting here with a bowl of popcorn and a sody pop; I'm here for the long haul. In dial up, that means at least two chapters!

You know, until ROTK came out, I often thought the same thing about Frodo; why was his ending so sad? When Gandalf had the Afterlife talk with Pippin, and Pearl pointed out to me the color in Frodo's cheeks upon boarding the white ship, I then understood. Plus, a little of life's sad experiences go a long way. Here's to a good story: Salute! (raises her Pepsi can).

Author Reply: Hi there!

I am so glad you enjoyed tht prologue. Part of my continued effort to find just the right way to market this story. I think I lose a lot of readers by making it take so long for either of the main characters to come into it. Still the ones that stay with me, seem to be loyal and that is worth a lot.

I can understand why Tolkien had things end for Frodo as he did. I believe it is the right and true way. I just also thought it sounded lonely. And yes, the sad expeariences can go a long way. Some will haunt forever.

Frodo's smile at the end of ROTK, *sigh* it is breath taking. I thank Peter Jackson for making clear what I don't think Tolkien did, that leaving with the elves would be a good thing for Frodo.

I am so looking forward to seeing what you think of this story since you are not a tremendous Frodo fan. It will be a new perspective.

Slainte,
Mys
