Good start! I'm very interested to find out how Eomer was lured away, and how far they'll have to go to get him. If they end up in Rhun, they'll probably stick out... ;-)

Author Reply: Thanks for reviewing :) Glad you enjoyed the start of the story!

A terrible situation to find on returning to her childhood home, to find her brother apparently abducted. The vision brought forth by Legolas's comments is fascinating, full of the mystery of Elvish awareness. Now, to learn where and how they find Eomer and how they restore him.

Intriguing start to the story. It will be interesting to see the events unfold through the eyes of different characters. I loved the fire side tale from Legolas at the end. Legolas is clearly not just a superior human, but has other qualities.

Author Reply: Great :) Happy you enjoyed the tale at the end, I remember writing that bit on the train home from work and it was a little tricky to keep in the moment, so glad it worked ^_^

Nicely done. I'm ready for more. But don't forget your other tale!

Author Reply: hehe nope I won't forget IHS, I've got a full draft for that one so as long as I make myself do some editing each week it will be safely posted :D

Oh, yes, I will continue reading whatever else you post for this story! You have very quickly piqued my interest. The first paragraph drops us straight into an unknown peril. Then you quickly show us how it began. A quick, impulsive journey, indeed. I only hope Eomer's assistant can convince the White Company to do what would be best. At this point, tho, that may be hard to see. I must say, if I had to journey into unknown peril with only two quardians, I can not think of two better than the Captain of the Ithilien Rangers and the archer Prince of the Greenwood. Next question would be, how much trouble can they and Eomer get into before the month is up and Aragorn and his guard can be summoned for help! I very much like the imagery of the scene around the fire, where Legolas compares the Greenwood menaced by Sauron to a bright fire casting dark shadows. I could just see it!

Author Reply: Thanks so much for your lovely review ^_^ made me happy and very enthused to continue on with this tale. They will certainly manage to get themselves into much trouble in the days ahead - but as you say - Eowyn is enviable for her two of guardians here :D Thanks again, you really made my week ^_^
