| Aww, scary and sweet. I can remember being quite young and my mother only going next door to borrow something, but feeling very guilty and concerned about leaving me and my brother behind in bed. | Touchingly sweet story. I reminds me of leaving my own son at home alone and having a rainstorm blow up after a long dry spell. It turned out the roof leaked and water poured into the room where he was watching TV. Not so scary as your story, but I was proud of him for putting towels out to mop up the water. He at least had the dog to keep him company. Sorry, I am rambling a little, but I think it's because you did a nice job of making Frodo real here. Author Reply: Thank you very much for this. I was a bit scared at the beginning, fearing it would be 'too much' to happen, just during a 'little' thunderstorm. It was a story I wrote without having any idea of what it was leading me. I'm glad you liked it... and I hope your son never has an experience like this to go through. By the way... I too had the dog, when I was younger, to keep me company. | |
