Elf Academy Part Deux  by Fiondil 9 Review(s)
KittyReviewed Chapter: 65 on 9/1/2012
Hm, a tracker isn't as bad as what I had feared, but still, it's suspicious.

Oh, it has to be very hard for the Elves to listen to these language lessons without saying anything or laughing. Good on the three Amigos that they didn't just laugh about the Mortals. They are really improving – as is their English; I notice how they keep correcting themselves. Well done!

The Elves writing a book about their adventures over the millennia sonds like a great idea. I'd certainly subscribe!

To explain Santa to the Elves who have no concept of mortal beliefs would certainly be a difficult thing. Maybe Glorfindel and the others can try later. And the letters had to be really confusing, they probably didn't understand much further than 'doll' or some other age-old toys. But the modern day electronics and what comes with them ...?

Oh, I knew it, Farrell is not from the Agency! This once I was far ahead of Alex – I suspected something like that as far ago as chapter 27. Now I just want to know who he really is – some son or other relative of the guy Amroth had to kill to get away? Or someone Amroth once crossed?

But where on earth is Alex, and why had he to run off without telling anyone?? Or was he kidnapped? Though it doesn't sound like a struggle happened in the room. Why do you have to leave us with that sort of cliffhanger all the time?

Author Reply: Hi Kitty. Well, a tracker's not as bad as a bomb but it is bad enough.

I think the Three Amigos get points for not laughing out loud at the Mortals atempting to speak Sindarin, especially at Alex's gaffe. And, yes, I think trying to explain Santa and the letters would be difficult when these particular Elves have no cultural background with which to compare it.

As for Farrell, all I will say is that nothing is as it seems and we'll see that in the nexr chapter, as well as learn what happened to Alex.

Thanks for taking the time to review. It's much appreciated.

Oh, no. I knew the peace and quiet couldn't last. I got a sinking feeling when Alex left the table alone. So, who (or what?? is Farrell. He seems to be more dangerous than anyone expected. If he doesn't work for the Agency all bets are off.

You were lulling us into believing for a change, they can attend classes as 'normal' students, and then you drop the bomb. Nasty cliffhanger *grin*. But I love it.

Author Reply: A nasty cliffhanger, indeed, obsidianj, but I'm glad you love it. LOL! Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it very much. As for Farrell, we'll learn what he's really about eventually. Things are not quite as they seem on the surface as we'll see in the next chapter.

So not a bomb - or even brakes that were tampered with. "Only" a tracer. It makes me wonder when Farrell put it on the car, though.
That Sindarin class must have been extremely amusing for the three young Elves - but at least the managed to appear ignorant of the language. It must have been hard, though, especially when Alex made his mistake - whatever it was.

A nice, quiet chapter, which means that probably all hell will break loose in the next - especially given the e-mail Alex got. So Farrell is not with the Agency?? And here he has presented himself as being a senior agent there, really putting the squeeze on Alex, and even giving Alex termination orders for Amroth. So has Alex now gone off the deep end?

Author Reply: Hi Sunny. Yes, one does have to wonder how long the tracer has been there.

I'm sure the Three Amigos were biting the inside of their cheeks raw to keep themselves from laughing, but they did a very good job of playing at being ignorant.

As for just who Farrell is and where Alex went, we'll find out something of that in the nexr chapter. And you're right, all hell will break loose but not necessarily from the direction one would expect.

Thanks for commenting. I appreciate it very much.

The question is "What is Farrell up to?". Alex should be lucky is wasn't a bomb and only a tracer.

The Three Amigos seemed to have had a good time going to class with Alex and Derek. Listening to the other students attempting their language was probably amusing to them but they were polite enough not to laugh and embarrass the ones trying to learn. And it looked like they found the Nature Studies class worth while. Hopefully the Three Amigos will get their weapons back soon. They seem to be behaving well and learning more about how the mortals of this world live.

I hope Alex hasn't gone and done something foolish by going after Farrell without back up. Or is it possible he was taken without so much as a fuss? I hope the others find him quickly if he is in trouble.

Another good chapter that's a cliff hanger. Have a nice Labor Day Weekend.

Author Reply: Hi Clouded Leopard. That is the question of the hour, isn't it? We'll learn the answer to that soon enough.

Yes, the Three Amigos seem to be shaping up and willing to learn from the Mortals around them. We'll see if and when they get their swords back by the end of the story. For now, they still have a ways to go before they have proven themselves worthy of having their swords returned to them

We'll find out what Alex did in the next chapter. Thanks for taking time to leave a review. It's greatly appreciated. Have a nice holiday weekend yourself.

Now, THIS is a most interesting turn of events. Who is this guy, then, and why is he after Alex and the Elves? And just who is his sponsor?

(Biting knuckles, as I have no fingernails left!)

Author Reply: Very interesting, Larner, and it gets more interesting as the story continues. As to who Farrell is and why he is there, we'll learn about that eventually. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it very much.

Why am I not surprised to find out that Farrell is not part of the FBI? He is totally evil and would not fit the quallifications of an agent.

Author Reply: Hi Tari. Well, Farrell isn't a member of the FBI although he is a member of a government intelligence agency. Obviously he's working outside accepted parameters and we'll learn why before the story ends. Thanks for reviewing. It's much appreciated.

Sorry you've not got the holiday off. NOT!

All I could think of is that I'd have to wait another day to find out what's going on and my finger nails are shot!

The three amigos didn't cause this problem. Go figure. *g*

Great chapter. Had me on my toes.

Author Reply: Hi Agape. Actually I do have the holiday off because I wrote the next chapter in advance so I could relax. LOL!

Yes, for a change the Three Amigos didn't cause the problem. We'll find out what is really going with Alex in the next chapter.

Thanks for reviewing. Have a nice holiday yourself.

Pui-en-orch! If I may borrow Glorfi's favorite curse! Well that has certainly set the cat loose in the pigion loft! If Ratty does not work for the agency who does he work for and who the h e double hockey sticks is he! Some secret Black Ops agent?

This was turning out to be such a nice chapter too, the Three Amigos were behaving and seemed to be enjoying themselves, there was no bomb under Alex's car, they did good in their classes, well apart from Alex and his mixed up Sindarin, and then Alex gets the e-mail and disapears on them, I hope not to do anything foolish, but knowing Alex Artemus has taken over!

More please, (Hopefull, Puppy Dog Eyes look?)

Huggs,
Lynda
p.s. Back in Cliffee King mode I see, you should get an award for this!

Author Reply: Hi Lynda. We'll find out just what is the truth about Farrell eventually. Not all is as it seems, believe me.

As for Alex/Artemus, we will find out in the next chapter just what he's was up to when he up and disappeared on Derek and the Three Amigos.

And the next chapter will be up on Monday as usual, so you don't have that long of a wait to find out what happens next. Have a good holiday in the meantime and thanks for taking the time to read and review. It's always appreciated.

Loved the chapter title. Glad to know everyone is getting along better. So Farrell is not what he seemed. Somehow I am not shocked, but where is Maddy?

Good reading to start the holiday weekend. Thanks as always.

Author Reply: Hi UTfrog. I'm glad you loved the chapter title. Ithought it apropos. *grin* No, Farrell is not what he seems, but as for where Maddy is, we'll learn that eventually. Have a good holiday weekend and I will be posting the next chapter on Monday as usual, so you'll have something to look forward to. Thanks for leaving a comment. It's much appreciated.
