Hi Linda,

I really liked this story as well. Frightening and redeeming, I particularly liked the end.

Very Tolkien. Everyone has their own part to play! I think that you have a word missing 7 paragraphs from ' The End'

Author Reply: Thank you, I'm pleased this felt in the spirit of Tolkien to you. I'll go and look for the error.

You are getting really good with the cliffhangers.

Ooh, this made me shiver!

Author Reply: Goodness! Well I'm glad it made an impact!

So Sauron had a few extra ensorcelled enticements crafted especially for Men? That makes sense; though he was wrong about ruling Arda until it was remade.

Good usage of the one and only (well, Second and Third Age) Dark Lord!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review of my first, and most likely last, attempt at writing Sauron. I thought this story was finished but the Muses gave me two more chapters .I hope you'll like the new ending better.

At least the daggers are now well gone, and thank heaven for that! And Faramir was shocked into sanity by what he saw Turgon prepared to do in order to keep the daggers from being destroyed. The Powers protected all three of them that day, I think.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. Good riddance to those horrible daggers! They were haunting me too as I've no idea why the story doubled in length!

Oh, but so this is how he did it, is it? Shuddering!

Author Reply: I guess anything Sauron did would be pretty nasty!

Having learned how Elrond's wife was afflicted during her captivity by Sauron's creatures and having seen Frodo under the influence of the Morgul wound, Aragorn has knowledge of what he faces, after all. A wonderful and appropriate healing!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. It was a great blessing for Faramir that Aragorn was at hand, one of the few who understood about the evil magic.I'm pleased you enjoyed the healing.
