Well, we still don't know if Saeron and the children survived but hopefully they have. Glad to see Thoran in custody. Hanging is too good for that snake, as the saying goes. Eagerly awaiting the next chapter.

Author Reply: Yes, Thranduil will have to think hard what to do with Thoran. The enxt chapter is almost done so you will no have to suffer for much longer...*g*. Thank you so much for your review, Fiondil. Lai

This is harrowing. I still can't tell the good guys from the bad guys.

Author Reply: you are right, but it will get clearer soon. There are not many bad guys, yet one mad mind is often too much. Thank you for reviewing. Lai

Thranduil has heard the children, we now know they are in the barrels. (as if there was ever any doubt!) The different points of view in this chapter are fascinating. We have now seen the same scene from Thranduil's, Thoran's, Saeron's and Galion's points of view. I think, perhaps, once all is settled, Thranduil may not have to be too hard on Luindal. I suspect that the elf was frightened and trying to protect the people of the palace from too much rough treatment at the hands of Thoran and his followers. Now, to get everyone rescued and back to health. And perhaps, our favorite King ought to create a system of councils to hear and deal with the concerns of the people in the more shadowed parts of the land?

Author Reply: I´m glad you like the different POV´s. Luindil is a tragic hero and I fear he will end tragically too. A council will be a good idea, but there are simply not enough warriors to guard the south; talking will not remedy that. I really appreciate your review. Thank you for sending it. Lai
