The Tower of the Cunning Mind  by Larner 2 Review(s)

Raises eyebrow.....confident, isn't he? It's rather ironic that the fate he chooses for Theoden and his people becomes his own. By the time Treebeard and Quickbeam are through with him he'd really need a soothing bath! After all that shower the Ents provided wasn't the pampering a spa would provide! Sauruman really threw all his wisdom and knowledge away when he joined the darkness. I wonder what his previous self would have thought of the later model? Many thanks for the vignette! :)

Author Reply: Yes, far too confident. And in this case, we can all be glad that his best laid plans gang aglay!

Well, well, he'll be surprised in the end, won't he? But I like how you describe his certainty of his victory in this drabble.

Author Reply: Oh, yes--it's neat to know that in spite of his misplaced confidence that it is for naught in the end. Thanks so much, Elynn!
