In the End, Unbroken  by Eärillë 1 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 1 on 7/9/2011
A terrible legacy hatred can be. And so, in not accepting Tuor and Idril, they lost the presence also of Earendil and Elwing--and gained pizza?

An interesting and unsual tale, to be certain.

Author Reply: I'm sorry if it's too odd! :sheepish: Blame my mutinous muse, who griped at my participation in this year's B2MeM... But yeah, there it was. I never mentioned pizza anywhere there, though... :innocent: Heheh. Sorry if it's somehow inappropriate. (I know! I rolled my eyes at myself, sort of, when I wrote the story, believe it or not. But my muse wouldn't be swayed.)

But indeed, I was firstly inspired by two things: how a Secondborn and the daughter of a rebel Noldo would be received in Aman while the ban was newly lifted, and why pizza was firstly made. As you could see, the latter coloured the story just as much as the former. In this way, I tried (and perhaps failed miserably) to honour those women -- housewives and mothers -- living in poverty that nonetheless try to provide the best nourishment for their family, even if futile.

Regardless, thank you for dropping by and telling me what you think of the story. I cherish it like I do others. :)
