Maid of the May  by Armariel 1 Review(s)
Lynn HReviewed Chapter: 4 on 5/17/2011
Great fun! And I'd LOVE to see Gandalf in a nice green robe - but would he really wear one? After all, he is the GRAY wizard, it's his color and his place in the Order. I'm not even sure it isn't actually a part of him, as the Ent's covering is unclear whether it is skin or bark (although I'm aware he was sent back naked and Galadriel clothed him in the White.) If he put on another color at this early point it ought to change to gray all of itself.

Author Reply: Thanks Lynn! Well, the green one is for special occasions only...where grey might be a bit too dreary, and I'm sure Gandalf would enjoy the change. However, I'm guessing that somewhere along the road, he ended up giving it away, having too few opportunities to wear it and wanting to be as unencumbered as possible. And the white is SO much more becoming! (in the movie version at least;))

However, in the Armarielverse he ends up in red after he arrives in the West:)

Thanks again for commenting--glad you enjoyed my silly little tale:D
