I am really enjoying Maidhien as a character, and especially her relationship to Thranduil's family. I do miss seeing Legolas and Thranduil interact, though. I hope more of that is coming up :)

I found the Queen's concern about Maidhien very touching. BUt she certainly is a stubborn little girl, so she'll be ok with any task as long as she's convinced she wants to do that. Legolas , on the other hand, hasn't been so lucky.

This is getting better and better. Two more stories to know Dannenion'f fate? My, you really want to make us suffer...
And where is Galithil's brother? I really liked him, he was so guilt ridden after his parents dead. He was a character that I liked a lot. Hopefully, we will see a litle more of him?

Author Reply: :-) I definitely like to make you wonder what will happen. :-) And yes, Dolgailon will be back in the next story. He has a fairly large role in it, tied to his continuing guilt, actually.

Thanks so much for the reviews! I appreciate them so much!

Poor Legolas. All he wanted was a little cuddle and Aewen dumped him and he got the blame. Where's the fairness in that? No wonder he felt like punching everyone. But OMG, I was reading along thinking of how grown up Galithil is getting and then he came out with the claim that the First Year needed a lesson. So, first of all, someone needs to tell him, that Aewen made up her own mind and this "snot" isn't responsible for her actions, only his own. And second, ack!

I was thinking after the last chapter that I felt sorry for Anastor and Noruil. They're starting to come around and be decent and I was afraid their fathers were going to ruin their lives. But I figured it would be in the future. I suppose an "intervention" to keep Galithil from marrying Maidhien would sort of be in the future too, but basically, Thranduil didn't even have to wait and set spies of these guys to have an excuse to get rid of them.

Thranduil was funny in his oblivion to Legolas courting Aewen. And by the time his wife broke the news, it was too late anyway. I thought it was very sweet that Lindomiel found her son's courting "charming." And in turn, Thranduil was sweet in what he hopes for Maidhien. A family and a good one. Just what she needs.

It was interesting to see how quickly her change in status had been communicated to the guards. She gets to go right in and see the king in his nightie!

Author Reply: Hehe! We can't have Galithil being too mature, can we? ;-)

And I'm glad to see your thoughts on Anastor and Noruil. They have some tough times ahead of them. And Maidhien definitely does. Very true.

She gets to go right in and see the king in his nightie!
ROTFL! I am bad to say that that comment conjured in my mind a much...more interesting, is how I will phrase it...picture than the one I intended Maidhien to see? ;-) (or the one you likely intended when you used the term 'nightie' but I guess I am in a silly mood this morning).

But yes, Thranduil does want her to feel part of the family. He needs a daughter. :-)

Thanks so much for the reviews. I appreciate them so much!
