I love this title - I love that even the insects which to pay tribute to our heroes. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

How lovely! I must admit I'm not generally much of an insect fan, but this is very sweet. Thanks!

Author Reply: Thank you very much. We don't have fireflies here in the Pacific Northwest, but I remember them from my early childhood in Tulsa and from summer visits to relatives in Arkansas. I doubt that those in the Shire ever saw them, so seeing them for the first time must have been quite a surprise!

So, the fireflies have come out to honor the Ringbearer and his companions!

Very nice and beautifully written.

Author Reply: Thank you so, Andrea! I remember how much I enjoyed these insects when I was a small child, and catching them in jars!

You do like butterflies for your Frodo - As do I. As for Glow worms and fire flies "A light in dark places" springs to the mind. Lovely Larner.

Author Reply: The butterfly has always been associated with Psyche and the spirit, and I am certain that others saw Frodo as being associated with them. As for fireflies--how they would have been drawn, I am certain, to the Evenstar! Indeed a light in dark places! Thank you so!

What a sweet story. Fireflies in Middle-Earth. They are lucky the little ones allowed them to touch them.

It was wonderful to see something from you. I wish there was a way to contact the authors who's stories I am reading and inspire them to continue.

Author Reply: Well, at least I got the next chapter of "Enter the Ranger" posted--at last! After the Advent calendar stories and the last two LOTR Community challenges I finally got time to finish that particular chapter. And you can always comment to a story fairly recently posted and we'll get your communication that way, of course.

And indeed the Hobbits were privileges to be able to touch the fireflies.

What an enchanting chapter! I loved the way you linked the fireflies with the time when Aragorn and Arwen plighted their troth.
I particularly enjoy any of your stories that include Aragorn!
Many thanks. X

Author Reply: I first fell in love with Aragorn back when I first read LOTR back when I was thirteen years old; and here I am over fifty years later, and I STILL love him!

Thank you so very much, Kath!

Author Reply: Thanks! And although I do wish to finish "Enter the Ranger," I do hope to write something about Boronaur soon. Heh!
