The Fire: S.R. 1392  by Dreamflower 6 Review(s)

Frodo does have some interesting dreams, doesn't he? And I'm proud of him too for all his hard work during the Fire. Certainly could be the way the Widow Rumble became so. Good of course of Bilbo to make sure she's taken care of.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

I really liked the sense of community and responsibility in this piece!

what a touching story, so true to what I feel Bilbo and Frodo would be like and would do. and the dreams gave me a shiver, of wonder, then dread. just right, not too much. well done!

A great story to show how the Bagginses of Bag End and the inhabitants of Bagshot Row helped each other in need.

I particularly liked the little kitten Sam and Marigold brought Widow Rumble as a gift. Very thoughtful!

And this bit made me smile:
As they passed over the threshold, Bilbo put a hand out, and patted his front door.

I sometimes do this with my car ;-)

Last but not least, the dreams! I wished the second one would never have come true. On the other hand what would have happened then?

First the Roverrandom dream of being on the moon, and then a truly prescient dream. I bet he was aware of when he'd dreamt of it as he lay on the hillock.

Sad, but lovely in its way.
