He almost strikes me as a dark haired Gilderoy Lockheart--a bit too much over the top! Cirdan does manage to see through the glamours, which is good! Author Reply: Lol! Lockheart - Oh my! You’re right! But less stupid and a lot more dangerous. Suddenly I’m envisioning a disturbing Dark Lord Lockheart AU. Hehe… this thought is going to keep me entertained for a while… Thank you, Larner! :D

No wonder Cirdan gave Narya to Gandalf, rather than Saruman, when the Istari arrived in M-E; Cirdan had heard enough seductive purring from Annatar. Never trust a fellow wearing lavender perfume - at least I wouldn't! Good for Cirdan. An interesting and funny vignette; I did an Annatar-meets-Elrond ficlet awhile back and I love how you've characterized the Lord of Gifts here. Author Reply: Me neither! Lavender’s a subliminal scent – a guy wearing it can’t be up to any good. ;) I’ll have to check you story out. Pretty ring-tossing Sauron fascinates me. Thank you, Raksha! ^^

I'm really enjoying your stories. What a marvelous meeting between Annatar and Cirdan. He might never achieve the vision, but the pleasure was all in the attempt I think you've caught an artist's true essence in that one line. Author Reply: Thank you, Shirebound. Hehe, you make me sound all philosophical. You do put it beautifully, though… the thrill’s all the process. :)
