All I can think of when I read this is "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh"...finally, some peace for Aragorn at last!

Author Reply: Thank you, LisaG! I was definitely trying to inspire that feeling of "ahhhhh"... Aragorn certainly earned his day at the lake, didn't he? I'd say he's due a LOT of those kind of "ahhhhh" days. :)

Thanks for the review!

Aw, what a wonderful, peaceful piece. There's probably no better way to spend a hot summer day than to relax with your beloved. And Annúminas probably is a much better place for it, too, with the city built directly next to the lake.
I absolutely love it and wish I could join them by the lake.

Author Reply: Thank you, Vilwarin! It's always gratifying to hear a reader say that they want to be *there* with the people in the story or ficlet. I really do think that Annuminas had to have been the most lovely, peaceful city--and a place where Aragorn and Arwen could let their hair down a bit.

Thanks for the review!

Ah, isn't this so satisfying and everything you could wish for them to enjoy in life together! Lovely!

Author Reply: Thanks, Inzilbeth... it's so fun to imagine them having a lighter moment as a family. Being King was a full-time job, but I'm sure he made time for leisure, and what better leisure than a lazy afternoon by the lake, soaking in the sunshine? Thanks for the review!

I can certainly appreciate her sentiments! Have loved him since the early sixties myself, and was terribly jealous when she showed up to marry MY man! Heh!

Beautiful moment of relaxation for the King!

Author Reply: Thank you, Larner... I wonder just how many women out there were very jealous when Arwen showed up and staked her claim! LOL I'm glad you enjoyed this, and thanks for the review. :)

That was a most charming drabble, and a perfect birthday present. There is nothing I love more than blissful Aragorn and Arwen in Annúminas. And you did a great job of showing us that.

Author Reply: Thank you! I was so glad you enjoyed the drabble... can you imagine actually having that as a real present? *sigh* If only!

Thanks for the review!

This is very contagious, I'm very relaxed and getting drowsy myself! Its always a joy to read about Aragorn's (and Arwen's) time in Annuminas (those reads are very hard to find) and I've always pictured them to be this way...vacationland! Love this drabble! Keep these coming, as I love tidbits about "the days of the king".

Author Reply: Thanks, RS! I'm glad you liked this... it is pretty relaxing to read this, isn't it? :) I figure Annuminas was definitely a sort of "get-away", even though Aragorn still had to do the work of ruling both kingdoms.

And yes, I'll have more tidbits (good word for these) as time goes on and the muse strikes. Thanks for the review!

I love these; please keep them coming. I am especially fond of stories about the early days of Elessar's reign. Poor Aragorn had to make so many adjustments, but so did the folks around him.

Author Reply: Thank you, UTfrog! I'm glad you enjoyed these, and yes, I do plan on adding to this collection as the muse strikes. There's so much to explore in big and small ways to Aragorn's reign.

Thanks for the review!

Peaceful, lovely...Can I go to that lake with my Elessar?

Author Reply: I don't see why not! :) I'm glad you enjoyed this peaceful little interlude in the King's life. Thanks for the review!
