I'm late to discover this story, but I love it. Very moving, and so beautifully written.

Now, that IS a wonder, to witness the coming of one of the Istari like that! Love the banter between brother and sister, and the continued growth of the Tree.

Author Reply: The siblings were fun to write! ;-) Thanks for reviewing!

A lovely look at the future of Gondor, Minas Tirith, and of course the White Tree itself. I love the idea that Eldarion sent White Tree saplings to the courts of former enemies as gestures of peace. And the blue wizard's appearance is a wonderful bonus.

Author Reply: Thank you! I've always wondered what might have happened to those blue wizards.

Excellent story and very different. I love the 500 year time span and that the brother knew so much. Felt for the sister who had to follow the family business, but love that the non-sexist oldest child was tabbed. Really good interactions and descriptions. Thank you!

Author Reply: Thank you! I was wondering how things might have changed in 500 years, and somehow technological progress didn't seem right, but social progress was something I could envisage, so I tried to hint at a more egalitarian society.

Oh, this gave me shivers, Virtuella! So, Alatar and Pallando were not forever lost? And maybe, just maybe, at least one of them is sailing home now? What tales he could carry to Elrond's family!

I enjoyed the affectionate interplay between the siblings, and the little realistic details you add, like the king not being a compelling speaker, and wondering what dye would create such beautiful color....

Lovely vignette!

Author Reply: Thank you! I used to wonder what had happened to them, and I like to think that after so many centuries, their work, too, would be completed.
