A most delightful preparation! And love the stalking!

Author Reply: Hehe. Thank you. ;)

Humorous and yet tender. I especially liked Aragorn's characterization here; the mighty hero-King is a bit of a nervous bridegroom, and it works perfectly.

Author Reply: Thank you. And why shouldn't he be nervous? He may be a king, but deep down he only is a man marrying the love of his life! :)

Thanking Yavanna for making apples indeed, LOL! This was such fun, Vilwarin, and I loved your poem. Isn't that just what you would expect as weddings, only this was so much better! I couldn't help wondering if the bed warming ceremony has a grain of truth in it and that this is a tradition somewhere in the world. Very well done.

Author Reply: Thank you. I knew people would like the apple phrase. *lol* I had especially fun writing the limericks, also they are far too tongue-in-check for the real stuff.

Actually, something similar used to be done in Poland and I couldn't help but tweak it to fit my story. ;)

I'm very glad you had fun reading.

That is a most wonderfully funny, sensual, delightful and charming tale of Aragorn and Arwen's wedding night. I loved the traditions you came up with, and your anxious, intense and passionate Aragorn.

A lovely tale, indeed.

Author Reply: Thank you, especially for the many nice adjectives. ;) And that is how I see Aragorn: hard on the outside, but soft and very human on the inside. That is why I chose to write it from his POV - it just was so much more fun to write and probably for the ready to read. I still find myself laughing at the traditions myself. I'm very glad that you liked it.

You had me laughing and swooning at the same time (Cairistionia is right...you should hand out fans for your readers)!

You have captured and conveyed Aragorn's, nervousness, anticipation, and...should I say it...lust.
The mention of his "predatory stare" had me melting like butter...***fans self***.

How could a story with so much sexual tension make me laugh at the same time! The traditions described had me in stitches! This story had me laughing throughout but two instances got the biggest chuckles: "It seemed that she cared more about it than Aragorn would have had he been in her position" ; ...trying to puzzle out how her shift would open".

The chase and the capture at the end was....thrilling.***fans self again***. But the line, "...And I know my trade well" clearly outdid me! ****sticks whole face in front of an air conditioner!***

This was a lot of fun! Something I will read over and over again! Thank you!

Author Reply: Wow, thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think I never had so much fun writing a story as this one because I could lay aside all seriousness (especially the poem). But it also was a challenge to write this from a male POV; especially Aragorn, who always comes across as so composed. But of course he'd be nervous before *this*, although he would not let anyone see it.
The traditons seemed just right for a people that normally lead such a hard life because then such occasions stand out all the clearer. Thanks again for reviewing.

What a darling, fun story. You have so many delightful phrases here, such as...

His eyes fell on a carafe with cider and he silently thanked Yavanna for inventing apples.

:)

Author Reply: Thank you. You know, the phrase you quoted actually is my favourite, too. :) I'm glad you liked it.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh I like this. Sexy and imaginative! And sweet too. Yummy!

Author Reply: Thank you. Yes, I wanted to find the middle between a fun story and still remind the reader that it *is* their wedding night.

What a fun tale of their wedding night! Loved the chase around the bedchamber, and the "warming of the bed" was a fun tradition. But I do really think you need to hand out fans for your readers. *g*

Author Reply: The fans? I forgot the fans? Oh my. I hope you managed. You know, I think that there are too many solemn stories about their wedding out there and that they deserve something different. And of course warming the bed would really have been nice in a cold Northern winter.

Totally delightful. I love the warming the bed and testing the strength. Glad he managed to catch her at last.

Thank you.

Author Reply: Thank *you* for reviewing. It certainly must have been fun to watch. And of course a ranger knows how to hunt. ;)
