This is a really good story. You have fleshed out a difficult character in a highly believable manner. Thank you for the hard work.

Author Reply: Thank you! RAFA was a lot of fun to write, so I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I hate the Valar!!!!! They are a bunch of supposedly "known it all" but they are prejudice and petty. I HATE THEM!!!!! How dare they fault poor Maglor and not punish severely the ones who are really responsible????!!!!! I still considered the actions of the Valar and the inhabitants of Valinor to be deplorable, but mostly those of the Valar, since they are not ruled by sentiments and emotions like the elves. They claimed to have learned their lesson on interference from their actions with Feanor, but they clearly have not and they also have not learned to not mistreat someone and push them to do things they would not normally do, those INTERFERING BASTARDS!!!!!!

Author Reply: I have never understood the Valar's actions in regards to the House of Finwë myself-- I consider them just as much to blame for what happened as I do Fëanor himself. (And I *like* Fëanor.) I don't hate the Valar, however, I just dislike them.

Thing is, in the course of RAFA, Maglor's under some pretty heavy restrictions, and they couldn't turn a blind eye to him getting involved in an altercation in Alqualondë. On the surface alone, it looks bad. But they assumed the worst rather than waiting to find out the truth, and didn't really want to listen, no matter that the majority wouldn't blame Maglor.
