| Every bit of this rings true. Gimli's words may be few, but his thoughts run as deep as anyone else's. Feeling "exposed" is such a perfect description of what he would be feeling during this conversation, especially given his race's hereditary secrecy and caution. he wasn't riding a horse, his axe had drunk its fill of orc blood, and the cup at his hand was never empty A wonderful look at those things that would bring Gimli to a buoyant and joyful mood!
