Now she's done it! Poor girl! But I knew it was coming.

Author Reply: Eomer probably knew it was coming too ;-) Let's hope he doesn't catch a cold from it!

I enjoyed reading Lothy's thoughts while waiting for her father to be summoned. And Leona's "ambush" proposal was very very romantic. The first time I read this I was wondering if we'll ever see the young couple again.

Author Reply: Léona realized he was running out of time, so he finally had to take his chances!

Reading this story is such a pleasure - I was a bit worried about catching up with all the chapters, but I really shouldn't have been, because they each went by so quickly. As always, your prose draws the reader in with unequivocal ease. Your characterisations of Eomer and Lothiriel are wonderfully three-dimensional, they've both clearly got faults, and yet still endearing. In theory, this scenario could have been done poorly, but you've made it believable. I especially like sub-plot with the abused wife, it works on so many different levels.

Another thing that struck me was the great details you've included - like the fashioning of the bark cups, the chemistry of the potion Lothiriel stole... and of course, the scenery that the two of them pass through on their journey!

Thank you for sharing yet another fun, engaging story - it's got everything I'd want: romance, action/adventure, humour! I look forward to seeing how this continues/resolves... :)

Author Reply: Hi Klose,
I didn't realize you were following my story! I'm really pleased to hear you're enjoying it and thank you very much for your kind words, especially on the characterization. Writing about Eomer and Lothiriel so much, it's not easy to reinvent them every time, but I do try to make them well rounded characters.

As for the scenery, I live near the Rhine, so I borrowed some of it from personal experience. As for the rest, it shows that I spend too much surfing the net ;-)

Thanks for reviewing and more soon.

I just loved this chapter and what a great ending! The path of true love is still far from smooth!I'm another one who rarely reads any story not about Aragorn, but I love your Eomer.

Author Reply: Hi Linda,
in that case apologies for the lack of Aragorn to you as well! I like him a lot, but since the story of him and Arwen has already been told by Tolkien, I prefer the freedom of writing about Eomer.

And the path of love definitely has a few bumps in it ;-)

Wow! I've been following this story for a while, and man, you know how to write a great story! I rarely read stories that do not have Aragorn in them (I'm biased), but you really know how to write a compelling plot with wonderful characters. I am certainly interested in how this affair turns out!

Yep, Eomer really should have told her earlier. Certainly interested in how this turns out.

Author Reply: Hello Ainu Laire,
my apologies that there's so little Aragorn in this! But I'm pleased that you're nevertheless enjoying the story. And for some reason this plot has turned out to have more twists than a pretzel, some of them quite unplanned. I had not intended for Eomer to end up in the water again, but when I reached this point it seemed the natural thing for Lothiriel to do ;-)

Like you said, he should have told her. But he can always blame the birds, lol.

O-o, madam is getting a bit struppy now, isn't she? ;-) Well, I'm afraid she'll find it difficult to run away a second time!

Author Reply: Hello Virtuella,
stroppy is putting it mildly. However, she's just found out that the man she's reluctantly fallen in love with and for whom she was prepared to do battle has been lying to her from the start, so perhaps her ire is understandable. And I think her impulses would run more towards murder than running away ;-)

Aw! That was good! Such an adventure and doesn't it seem like Eomer always ends up under water??? Well when she calms down a bit she'll be better won't she? LOL! Hugs The Imp

Author Reply: Hello Elfingimp,
as I said in the summary, it's a tale of cold water ;-) Probably quite mucky as well in fact... And Lothiriel has to recover from her concussion first, but I'm not sure she'll really feel better when she wakes up.

Thanks for reviewing.
