Elizabeth WherryReviewed Chapter: 1 on 12/16/2009
Hmmmm, I seem to have beaten Szepilona to leaving a review on this story! :D Anyway, <3 it! Sounds great, and is well written...like always!
God Bless and For Life,
Elizabeth Wherry

Author Reply: This one will be ongoing until Christmas, so she will have a chance to respond, too. She appears to be busy reading "The Tenant from Staddle" again.

Am so very glad you appreciate it, Elizabeth. Joy to you and yours this Advent season, and as Christmas approaches may it fill your heart and soul with peace.

This fits Gandalf's 'voice' so well, Larner! I've read the four chapters up so far, and it's well done, I can just hear the love he has for the Tooks and their relations and friends in this, especially his protectiveness of this young heir to the Thain.

(And if the Took 'fairy wife' was a Maia, that'd make Pippin and Gandalf 'related'! *grin* Referencing 'Ancestress' there...I love it!

Pippin is an ideal character to represent the Fool. I wish someone could draw these cards as you write them up! (I don't use the Tarot, but I like looking at the pictures of the Harry Potter cards Laura Freeman has done at nasubionna.net and a LotR deck would be awesome too!)

Author Reply: He's definitely the most obvious one to fit that card, and so it fits. There is an LOTR tarot deck, but my deck is in the car, so can't look it up at the moment. Am lounging about in my PJs, responding to comments! Heh! I've not seen the HP set--I'll have to look at them.

Author Reply: (And, I, too, appreciated the comment about Dreamflower's "Ancestress." A marvelous story!)

Oh I like this idea. Very clever. Very Pippin as well.

Author Reply: Am so glad you like it, GW. Yes, very much our beloved little (at the time, at least) Took! Thank you so!

Great start! I'm really honoured you've dedicated this series to me. :D It's a fascinating idea, and I'm looking forward to what's to come.

Author Reply: Am honored to dedicate it to you, Virtuella. Now, to see what order they post the prompts in. I already know who shall be portrayed as the Hanged Man, of course....

I really loved this. Of course, this should come as no surprise.

Author Reply: Well, of course! Heh! So glad it pleases, Garnet.

Hello Larner,

how very Pippin! How very sweet!
And how very like Gandalf to pretend he begrudges the compliment (when we all know he loves him really)!

M :)

Author Reply: Yes, Maureen, Gandalf appears to have held great affection for the Tooks! And thanks so for the feedback.

Ah, nice to know that Gandalf is beginning to see that this 'Fool of a Took' has a lot of hidden qualities! He may have sometimes been too impulsive, but he certainly made up for that.

Author Reply: I'm certain Gandalf saw the promise within Pippin, and was most p;eased to see it at work as they traveled. Impulsive, but already seeing where and what help might be needed and dealing wth what he could.

Certainly not a fool by any definition i know - young, impetuous, occasionally thoughtless...... but not a fool. Clever idea this one Larner.

Author Reply: Thank you, Harrowcat. It's fun to do these sometimes.

I always enjoy it when Gandalf contemplates "his hobbits". Dear Pippin. :)

Author Reply: And he certainly had reaont to contemplate these four and Bilbo, didn't he? Heh!

Thanks, Shirebound.
