Pursued by the Predator  by Lady_Roisin 8 Review(s)

Sleep deprivation has also been part of preparations for those who seek visions, along with rhythmic dancing and/or chanting as well as fasting and sometimes the use of mind-altering substances. So he appears to have experienced his own vision, and it was one that heartened him at a time he needed heartening.

Author Reply: This is very true! Yes, Aragorn certainly needed some uplifting at that moment. I'm glad you enjoyed this story. "hugs tight"

All in all, I liked this- you really hit your stride as the story continues. To be perfectly honest, the very beginning didn't grab my attention, but by the time I got a third of the way through I was hooked.

Lovely story. I like the mix of heavy, dangerous atmosphere in the first half, and the beautiful vision in the second half.

He definitely needed that vision, I believe. Am glad the wolves bypassed them for one night, at least, particularly with Aragorn so exhausted.

I enjoyed this when you first wrote and enjoyed revisiting it now! It may have been a sleep-deprivation hallucination but I like to think it a flash of foresight. Either way, it gave Aragorn a much needed lift in a dark time in his life. A lovely story, and I thank you again for writing it for me! :)
