Yeowtch, red streaks *are* a bad sign.. blood poisoning. *wince* I sense a little h/c on the way...

Ah, I myself tend to hate Maggot being shown as evil, but that's just me; nor do I suspect they had upstairs rooms in Hobbit inns any more than in Hobbit houses.

But love the care Gladiola gives him, and Bilbo reading this story in Sindarin to Frodo, and Frodo smiling over it!

Yes, delightful!

Author Reply: You are right, Larner. I need to put the inn's guest rooms down the passage instead of up the stairs! I'll fix that.

Author Reply: Oh, and I don't consider Maggot evil, he just lost his temper because Frodo was a repeat offender.

Oh, poor lad! I'm glad Bilbo is standing up for him, but I hope Frodo will be on the receiving end of more tender treatment and warm regard soon.

Author Reply: Tender treatment and warm regards (from almost everyone) are soon to come!

Oh, I like Hap and Gladiola! They are a sweet couple. Very nice.

Poor Bilbo does have a lot to learn about being a caretaker, but I'm guessing he'll be a quick study! And poor Frodo, with an infection from that beating from Old Maggot! It's interesting all the different takes I've seen in fanfic on Farmer Maggot's encounter with Frodo!

Author Reply: I'm delighted you liked Hap and Gladiola, Dreamflower. The Shire is full of sweet hobbits.
